  • The annoyance I found with the 1750 bluetooth, which is same as 1850 is that there is no bluetooth standby/sleep mode. So lets say you switch to optical connection, your bluetooth is disconnected, whereas on other devices up to 2 bt devices stay connected in a sleep type mode and when you change back to bt they're ready to play, but with edifier the bluetooth is turned off and in case of google home you need to manually repair everytime you switch back to bluetooth.

I think that is because they use an old bluetooth, version 4. That's the issue that caused me to return 2 different edifier speakers, although I haven't used this one, but the BT is the same

    • That's a good point actually - had no idea the pairing is like that. Though admittedly I'm kinda used to doing that with my current speakers too

  • So there are 3 pieces to this set? 2 stereo speakers and a sub?

    • +1

Nah - it's got an option to attach a subwoofer with the sub out line (Unlike the R1280DB)

  • +2

still not cheap though, got the 1700BT for less than $130 during Amazon sales.

    • Cheapest these particular ones have ever been on amazon.au was $229 - but yeah the other ones have been cheaper.

  • Sold out. The power OzBargain!

  • I got a pair last year at $185 from Amazon lighting deal.
