Hi All,
Just signed up to Aussie Broadband and got there mesh modem included.
Everything is great only issue is when i Chromecast live sport it lags and buffers.
I had myrepublic prior with no issues.
Is this the modem not giving enough wifi strength to the lounge area?
Will a new chromecast fix this or a mesh extendor? Or more bandwidth?

I have the same issue here, chromecast (first gen) stopping and buffering while watching Stan, this is on a 1000mbit plan. I found no problems with the PS4 buffering though.
Stan works fine for me just seems to be live sport.. Thanks for the insights
It's the Chromecast. Get a newer version and your problems will disappear.
Correct. The original Chromecast has issues with Kayo.
Was thinking so. Just super strange that its come up now after it worked previously.
Maybe the location of your IP is in another state and kayo is not streaming from the closest server. I remembered having this issue ages ago when I was with AB. I think it was fixed when I opt-out of CGNAT.

Get a Apple TV.
Get a device that lets use install kodi like an android tv. Then you can install the kayo plugin good thing is no ads for the footy broadcasts vs streaming through chromecast or on website.
If upgrading the CC, maybe look at the Vodafone TV for not much more $$s
Call them and ask to opt out of CGNAT. It's a known issue

Just in general… if you have issue with streaming, always check if you are using their (your ISP) DNS. Sometimes other outside DNS that some people adopt can direct you to a less optimal feed server.
All live sport or Kayo? I have had consistent issues with Kayo and my gen1 Chromecast. It works fine on PC, phone and iPad. And all other apps cast fine.
