Unable to Travel to Japan, Universal Studios Tickets How to Sell?

Hi, I have 2x USJ tickets which expires 09 October 2020. I will not be able to travel there due to Covid-19, nor will any/most Australians. Does anyone know any way to sell to a local in Japan who may want these?

Happy to let go for cheap, maybe 50% off (2-for-1) so I can recoup some costs, and if someone can make good use of it.

Yes first point of call should be contacting them and asking for either a refund or a extension to the expiry date.

  • The website says: "Resale of tickets is strictly prohibited. Resale ticket are not accepted in the Park."
It's better to get a refund in this case because they know you cannot fly there before Oct 9th.

    • Some said to me this week that O/S travel may be off the cards for 4 years? But who knows…

      • some think international travel will happen next month to New Zealand after their election & other parts of world soon after that. Much of the world is already open.

Uk open to 60 something countries. No restricted or quarantine. Same in much of Europe. In USA virtually no state borders closed (Hawaii is still I think) but now passenger on most domestic flights must wear masks. No social distancing on flights.

All of these places have many times more deaths than in Australia.

The longer it goes, the less airlines will be left. Think you might have got confused, with the statements, that overseas travel might not get back to 2019 levels for 3 years.

        • Until an entire country is vaccinated, you won't be able to travel unless you are prepared to hotel isolate for 2 weeks at your expense, which I doubt most people will do.

So I think it will be a long time before we can go anywhere but New Zealand as even once we have the vaccination, the process is very long.

          • @samfisher5986: hardly. Vaccine might never happen.

EU air travel is back to 40-60% of pre corona levels already, including the largest airlines, Ryanair, Easyjet + likes of Tuifly.

            No restrictions/no silly quarantine.

My guess is NZ after their election, so probably late Sept 2020 & month or 2 after that, almost everywhere with no quarantine.

BUT, airfare & travel insurance prices might be a bit higher.

            • @antifigjammer: Russia's vaccine was announced today.

Just because USA and others are doing whatever they want, it doesn't mean Australia will.

              • @samfisher5986: Vaccines take many many months to be approved, to see if they actually work on humans & no serious side effects. They may never be a vaccine that works.

Also, you have to realise, that anyone trying to develop a vaccine, is going to put a goos spin on it, so they get funding going forward.

It now seems UK, USA, will gain herd immunity far earlier than Australia & will come out of this pandemic, sooner & with their economies, in much healthier state.

So many problems far worse than a few deaths, with lockdowns.

                • @antifigjammer: The Russian vaccine has already been approved. They are mass producing it right now.

Not saying we should just blindly use their vaccine, but its already here.

@samfisher5986: which couldn't have been properly tested in the short time they've had to develop it, but if you are elderly or vulnerable probably worth taking. Hope it is safe, but time will tell.

Does it help if you are already dying ? Who knows ?

& anyway, who would trust anything coming out of Russia ?
