Still way too expensive to be considered a deal

Hit ~$365 after cashback late last year. I'd hold off for something closer to that

    • Value for money and in-house solution considering one can't control hair growth with the combination of Covid-19 where limited outing is advised. However nice historical price trace for those who can hold off their hair growth.

I bought one of these, they don't work, I went to a professional laser hair removal salon and had 6 session which yielded in significant reduction but not all

Results will vary of course, just putting it out there to help others decide

    • Good call out. As the official product website states "Philips Lumea Prestige is effective on a wide range of hair and skin types. It works on naturally dark blonde, brown and black hair and on skin tones from very white to dark brown. IPL needs contrast between the pigment in the hair color and the pigment in the skin tone, therefore (as with other IPL-based treatments) Lumea cannot be used to treat white, grey, light blonde or red hair. And is not suitable for very dark skin."

I purchased one of these and myself and a friend lasered each other for months prior to a holiday and it just didn't work. Thankfully Philips did and still may (please check), offer a 90-day free returns offer on some of the lasers. We were both light with darker hair.

I am white with brown hair and this piece of junk stimulated hair growth on me. In places where i had 3-4 visible hairs i thought it was a good idea to "treat" them, now i look like a hairy monster compared to what i was.
