Great deal on Houghton Margaret River Chardonnay.

Tasting notes below. Lots of other WA wines on sale too like Brookland Valley.

The Margaret River series integrate the classic Houghton structure with the finesse and elegance of Margaret River fruit. This Chardonnay exhibits intense lemon citrus, stone fruit and peach aromas. Nuances of roasted cashew nut, subtle toasty oak and oatmeal add complexity to the nose. Flavoursome and mouthfilling, the palate displays lemon citrus and peach with hints of vanilla, spice, and nougat derived from judicious use of French oak. The palate is well textured with great persistence of flavour. This wine may be enjoyed while fresh and youthful, and will develop further complexity if carefully cellared for 2-3 years

      I don’t think it’s non vintage. More like no vintage given. If you look at the cellar one site no vintage is listed but it is listed on retailer sites, in the product information, not on the bottle photo.

      A lot of wineries and retailers don’t like to add the vintage to the bottle photo because then they have to update it each vintage and also customers order one vintage and the next one is delivered, so they don’t want to promise a particular vintage. Customer gets annoyed if they wanted a particular vintage, and rightly so.

      In some cases the retailer requires a bottle shot with vintage not included.
