  • Awesome!!! Might actually use this.

  • How much does delivery driver got cut for the delivery fee/ total fee?

  • for an ubereats driver, i used to get on average $6 per order. doesnt matter how big the order is, u don't get a commission.

u are paid by distance from restaurant to customer door. if u work in surge rate (eg 7pm, or lunch time) u might get a little extra.

from there, uber takes up to 40% from the restaurant. so say customers order was $100, uber takes $40 immediately.

from the $40 they pay the driver average $6-7 depending on distance. ubers left with $33. restaurants left with $60.

once u minus taxes, operation costs, COGS, wages, marketing & advertising, you can see how much is left really.

    • If by distance does it mean it's generally better to choose orders that are further away from the restaurant? Or it depends on the total number of orders to capitalise on volume?

  • you can't choose where u want to deliver, it simply appears as do you want to accept the delivery. you only know where the home is, once you swipe right on the app after you've received the order from the restaurant. then u realise its only a $5 delivery. doesnt even count traffic jams, delays, restaurants making you wait, crappy directions, etc. its good if u don't have anything else in ur life u can be approved for really, or u can take orders from ur superiors or extra little cash from commute work etc.
