I have these and feel obliged to share my thoughts. I personally wouldn’t get these. Mids and highs are seriously underwhelming and are drowned out by the bass. The vocals are flat, plasticky and lack clarity.

These aren’t compatible with the Sony App (ie equaliser) but even with the Spotify equaliser I still can’t get these to sound good. Noise cancelation is again quite average.

For $200 I’m sure there are better alternatives out there.

    • Can you give some recommendations on this price range?

    • I agree with everything you said except the sound is decent once you can connect it to the Sony App which you can with the CH700N. Battery life is awesome. Mic is also good. Can't easily switch between devices, that has to be handled by you.

Noise Cancellation works for high pitched and soft noises. Don't expect voices to be cancelled out just dampened.

I got mine pretty cheap otherwise I wouldn't have them at all. Expensive at $200, as it seems like an entry model. I'd wait to see what Apple has to offer next month if the rumours turn out to be true for their headphones but can't recommend CH710N at this price.

I don’t think the CH710N are compatible with the Sony App unlike its predecessor. Battery is great but that’s the only thing going with these. You can tell Sony cheaped out on these with build quality, packaging and ofc sound. No case or sleeve which isnt great considering you’re paying $200. Wouldn’t dare to pay anything close to $200 for them.

Yep. Disappointed with the packaging and also not containing a case. Find it really strange that they aren't compatible.

I paid $100 @ Target, they were on discount maybe a month or two ago. Lowest according to the comments in that deal were ~$79. A fair pair of headphones in the discounted price range.

I loved CH700 model. Such a disappointment to the upgraded model. CH700 has such great sound for music and movies. Of course old model works with the sony app but default setting is just good enough unless you high bass, trebles etc.

Agreed. I've owned the WH‑CH700N for two years and they've been great. Good sound quality and extraordinary battery life. Noise cancellation is good enough to be useful. Build quality feels ordinary but they haven't failed yet.
