Just got a bulletin with some great pricing on end of life handsets with Vodafone. You might have to hunt around for stock - in retail stores staff can have a look for stores which have stock. The Galaxy, X10 and Legend should all be free to unlock, the rest will be locked to Vodafone. The X10 is particularly good value as it recently got an upgrade to Gingerbread.

Also the prices aren't reflected on the internal pricing matrix, so make sure staff scan the phone through the till before they give you the price. Full list below:

    i went to cronulla at 5pm today
    and their staff show me the price of X10 (the price he showed me on his computer)
    im sure no-one can image the price " 949$ " wtf
    i told them about s.o bought in his store in the morning today with $149,and he ask me can i show him the receipt, wth

    totally tired of that

      i got news from my friend
      he also called to that store in cronulla at 6h45 pm today (after i left)
      and the staff said the price is $149
      wtf again

      (before i went to there i just asked r there any stock but havent ask about the price and when i was there i got story i told u guys above)

      maybe the staff want to play a game with me and im bad luck

    I happened to get the X10 for $149 today… BUT it won't charge! I've tried a different SE charger with no luck. Back to the store tomorrow for me :(

    I went all the way around. The one at $149 is the "X10 mini pro" that is now out of stock because replaced by a recent version.

      No, it's not. The $149 is the X10 - if staff tell you otherwise they're confused and probably don't read their bulletins.

    that's vodafone to you, I went to look at the INQ ($99) couple months ago, staff at the local shop said it is not that price when I mentioned Ozb and asked her to check the computer etc she said yes $99 but no stock. WTF, they are like OW- do all the clearence on the computer system but no stock available. I gave up and bought the Acer LM, great phone I think it is still available from JB for $128.

    Picked up 2 black Xperia X10's yesterday at Strathpine Shopping Centre, QLD. The guy I talked to didn't even know about the special. I just asked if they had them in stock. Sales guy then said, "yes, which plan would you like them on?". To which I replied that I would like to buy them outright.

    The salesman then scanned them and they come up at $149.00. The look on his face was priceless!

    Going from a Asus Garmin Nuviphone to a HTC Legend (Ozbargain Pricing Mistake), Acer Liquid Metal and now to a X10i I can't believe this is my third phone in less than a full year.

    I now want to buy OzBargain next!

    Went to Surfers Paradise on Sunday, Vodafone shop there has 2x Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 left (on hold but no show). Got one for my sister, unlocked and updated to 2.3.3. Show her how to use it few days ago, as it's her 1st Android phone she seen to like to so far.

    Play with it a little bit, feel pretty good. If I don't have a Galaxy S2 on order I'd got both of the them.

    I got one and if you ask the shop, they are able to locate any Vodafone Shop with an X10 still in stock if they want to help you out.
    THE X10 HAS A PROBLEM.
    I upgraded X10 to Gingerbread. Anytime you install something, it works for a while, then start rebooting and die.
    You need to reset the phone pressing the bottom right button when you put it in charge but then the same happens over and over again.
    Had enough of it, I am going crazy. I should not buy it.
