I've had a pair of these for the past two years. A bit disappointed that the ear pads material started to flake off and fall apart from about 12 months onwards. Not heavily used or used for exercise so I would've expected better. Sound quality is OK but naturally, these don't come close to my replacement (Sony WHXM10003).

    • I got similar problems with other brands before, I feel you just have to look after some brands/ models more than other…
haven’t try these out yet… but the reviews on sound quality is not far off the Ozb favorite Sony vm3 and Bose QC35.
The long lasting battery Is pretty cool

Message them and they'll replace it really quick, honestly the best after sales service I've had, way better than my recent attempt with Sony

      • Really? I contacted them when I bought their Backbeat Go 3 on how poor the sound and build quality is.. basically told me to go away and no refunds unless my retailer is happy to do so (which they weren't - they kept asking me to contact Plantronics directly).

That was the last Plantronics I'd get or recommend to anyone. Waste of money and should have listened to the reviews instead of brand loyalty from their previous model.

        • Weird, although im not sure how they would react if I attempted to return on build quality, out of my 3 friends who own the backbeat pros over time we've all had issues with the pads breaking, all 4 us ended up getting completely brand new ones from them with no issue at all, this was about 2 years ago though.

          • @sleepyowl: How did you get in touch with them? I saw that I could book a return directly to Plantronics but I had to pay for freight which is a bit annoying as I could buy new pads just off ebay for not much more.

@akyeeeahdude: At the time they forward shipped a new pair out, contacted them directly through their website

              • @sleepyowl: Thanks mate. Got a reply from them and they agreed to send out a new set of pads at their cost as a goodwill gesture. 6-8 week delay though.

  • Word is on the street

  • Sevenofnine - How many were left in O’Connor when you got yours?

    • Didn’t asked… but I ask about the other colors…

  • I have these as well. Not bad but quite bassy and much prefer my audio technica msr7’s for a much more balanced sound (electronic music)
