Xiaomi Mi Smart 5 US$33.18 (~ $46.25 AUD) Delivered @ GearBest

K5149309DD9EB001

Probably Chinese version (which means no NFC).

Coupon code (from email) takes 10 cents off. Second coupon code only works 5 times at 2am AEST and reduces the price on a different product link.

New Features:

  • Improved sleep tracking
Continuous heart rate tracking as you snooze. Xiaomi claims this will help identify sleep problems such as irregular and sporadic sleep patterns, and rapid eye movement. Based on the data collected, the app will give you suggestions on how to improve your sleep quality.
  • Blood oxygen tracking
Built-in SpO2 or blood oxygen tracker. This was absent from the Mi Band 4. The tracker can apparently detect your blood oxygen saturation levels every second, for eight hours in a row. That’s a total of 28,800 reading in a span of eight hours. This continuous SpO2 monitoring is also aimed at improving sleep quality. It will work in tandem with the Mi Band 5’s sleep tracking function to provide more comprehensive sleep quality feedback.
  • PAI Vitality Index
PAI stands for Personal Activity Intelligence and is a feature borrowed from Huami’s Amazfit wearables. It essentially gamifies health tracking by giving you a score between 1-100 based on your daily activity and heart rate.
  • Other new features include Women's health - menstruation cycle tracking, breath training, remote camera control for your smartphone.

  • Magnetic charging (this wasn't available on the v4 and you'd usually shell out an extra ~us$3 for a clip on charger).

New Fitness Tracking:

  • Elliptical
  • Rowing machine
  • Jump rope
  • Indoor cycling
  • Yoga

Reduced Features:

  • >=14 days battery life vs ~20 days from the Mi Band 4

There are 5 available for US$19.99 and $4.41 delivery, starting at 2am AEST using coupon XIAOMI10THHP.

Coupon code (from email) takes 10 cents off.

    That seals the deal…

    Bargain !!!

What's the catch? 3 months delivery or something?

    • 10 cents! I'll have to call the police on you cause you just robbed them blind!

      • New low price since 12 days ago, save ~$1.70! :)

Unless you manage to score one of the very limited priced ones at 2am.

  • EDIT my mistake.

    • Thanks, email had a separate link for the US$19.99 deal which I've updated above, sadly it's stupidly limited quantity.

      • Shows me $4.41 shipping

        • +1

Updated at same time, title was previously + delivery. I'll also update the body to make it clearer.

Yet another Chinese company getting rich from ripping off intellectual property from other companies. Please boycott Chinese crap.

    • +7

We cannot boycott Chinese products. We can only beat china by improving our products

      • or cut the penalty rates or minimum wage of AU employees to reduce the cost?

      • Or we can just keep calling them "copy cats" to embarrass them, until they stop.

Just an idea. Worked when I was small.

        • Or we can just keep calling them "copy cats"

          Copycat from Ballarat?

    • +4

Please elaborate on what intellectual property they stole?

      • -1

Probably stole it from Apple or Samsung

        • This is when you lose credibility. When you through accusations with no evidence.

          • @18: You do realise the Chinese government employ people to go and work at foreign companies. After a while come back and make their own products which they can make it at a fraction of the price?

            • @Griffindinho: Where's your evidence that Xiaomi have done this? This is what you initially accused them of. Your argument is inherently flawed

    • +1

I'm pretty sure you just typed your comment on one of those Chinese craps, maybe chuck it to the landfill and start the boycott from you sir? We sure will follow…or not

    • The magnitude of “Made in China” makes it more or less impossible to boycott Chinese products. If not assembled in China, the raw materials used are most likely from China or linked to it at least.

      • ^^^^ This! Lots of people seem to not grasp the idea that almost everything we used have some components (at the very least) made there, even if the product is assembled elsewhere!

        • -1

So what? Maybe try to buy from other countries rather supporting products that benefit the Chinese Communist Party.

"there are 5 available at 2am…"

Really, who cares?! Please don't try to waste my valuable time, when there are plenty of other bargains out there to be had.

    • +11

Your time must be so valuable that you spared some of it to write that comment.

Who's it aimed at anyway? Gearbest? Yep you really showed them!

      • That's right. I DID show them!

But silliness aside, isn't this a form of "bait and switch"? Are these kind of deals permitted on ozb?

        • OP made it clear from the start there were only 5 available for that price, but the main deal was for the current offer price. No switching there, was plain to see that it would be a gamble to get one of those 5

  • Go to deal link shows me $27.69

    • Add delivery.

  • Would the China version works in Australia? Brought a Xiaomi camera which didn't work here in Australia.

    • Yeh, the watches don't need to connect to the Mi Home servers like the cameras

      • Thanks for your help

    • +1

i believe mi home now has Australian server

    • It's likely that you need to set your region to mainland China in the app during setup

      • Not sure if it's the case with the camera in question, but I believe Xiaomi is geoblocking based on IP for some devices now also.

  • Any luck? I managed to have the wrong product link in my cart somehow.

  • I applied code at 2am…got message this coupon has reached its maximum limit! No luck.

  • Does it have oxygen sensor or not?

In the page its under "rumor feature"

    • Page hasn't been updated since early June. Its Chinese edition, so it should have spo2.

  • Confused with the purpose of the global edition, why have it if it costs more but has less features then the base Chinese version?

  • Still waiting on my launch week band (from AliExpress) :(
