    Will pick up mine tomorrow.

I have already marinated some lamb.

Do you think it will fit or would I have to airfry in batches?

  • Not available in melbourne :(

    • Bought one from QV today. Says in stock at Carlton and QV. you click and collect booking a collection slot.

      • So annoyed, ordered click and collect from a local store showing stock, only for it to be removed from my order after sending someone to collect it today. Ordered yesterday.

My work office is closed, so no reason to go to the city. Plus wouldn't want to risk another mishap where it goes out of stock.

  • What does it mean when they say basket size is 5.5l and pot size is 7l?
so essentially we can only cook in the 5.5l volume right?
This was for a different product as 3.5l is too small for us.

  • Waiting for Aldi to rip off the Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer design.

    • Will look forward to the recall notice on that one.

  • I bought one 2 months ago after wanting to try an air fryer for ages. 2 things I didn't like about it:
    - The basket was difficult to push back in, most of the time it wouldn't align properly and took 4-5 tries for it to properly lock back in place.
    - 3.5L was too small for my household (3 adults). The tray is circular (not rectangular unlike some other brands) so it's harder to fit things in a single layer.

I returned it unused to Woolies for a refund the next day and instead ordered the Kmart 5.3L air fryer for $89. No regrets making the switch. Kmart 5.3L is much bigger, better designed IMO (basket with handle detaches from base at click of a button), better build quality IMO (no issues pushing basket back in).

    • Kmart 5.3L is much bigger, better designed IMO (basket with handle detaches from base at click of a button)

The easy separation of the basket from the base is very helpful - the Kmart 3.5l model has this as well and I find it really easy and safe to use.

So how does this Mistral one work then if it doesn't have a click release?

      • From memory the Mistral one just has a flat round tray, it's secured by bits of silicon around the edge to prevent it scratching the base when you insert/remove. To remove it, you need to reach in and pull out the tray - there's a tiny handle in the middle of the tray to help you lift it out.

    • Thanks for providing the comparison, it will help people make a decision on what suits them best.

  • Too bad it’s online only.

Click and collect. Order it online, book yourself a slot then go to the store to pick it up.

  • I submitted an order yesterday which was cancelled today.

I found another store which had stock. Ordered online (only airfryer, nothing else.) I went in to the store and took an air fryer from the shelf, brought it to the customer service counter, asked if I could take my airfryer now instead of waiting for my slot. No problem. Make sure that you only buy the fryer when ordering it online.

Problem is that they will only fulfil your order just before pickup.

Thanks for the update.it was a hassle with mine because they only had evening slots so I was tempted to do what you did.

Love my cheap Kogan airfryer. Been using it many times for a year, If it broke down I will definitely get the woolies one as a replacement.

I dont need an expensive air fryer

  • Thx Op , Bought in morning , Pickup at 12 , eating crispy onion rings by 1pm . Great value air fryer

    • "eating crispy onion rings by 1pm"

      Weightwatchers diet???

      • But onion rings are mostly “hole” aren’t they?

        • +1

          Aaah. My apologies.

Your are on hole food diet. That's a very healthy diet.

Hole foods are plant foods that are unprocessed and unrefined, or processed and refined as little as possible, before being consumed.

  • Used mine today for springrolls.

    Excellent. Soooo crispy.

    A bargain for $44

  • Do you think you could cook gluten free foods and gluten full foods in it without cross contamination (not at the same time obviously).

    • +1

Yes. It'll just be like a normal fan forced oven in terms of cross contamination, and I can't imagine there would be any of significance.

  • I picked up mine yesterday, but it doesn't seem to come with an instruction manual. There doesn't seem to be anywhere to download one online either. If anybody else has received a product manual and happy to upload them I'd be very very grateful!

    • Just temp and time nothing else.

      • product manual would be useful for food heating guides, maintenance/care, warranty support, etc.

    • I got mine with instruction manual.

  • Got some of the whiting on special at Costco. Came out really good in the Air Fryer.

  • Tried french fries today, it was amazing. Quick and easy to follow instructions. Easy to clean too.
This is also good to melt cheese on a bread while making a subway style sandwich. Doesn't make the bread too crisp/hard.
I don't find any problem with the basket alignment. Have used 4-5 times already.

Same no problem with the basket alignment.

  • Actually, having bought this I finally “get” airfryers. In my case they are a cheap, easy, quick way to heat up snacks. I probably won’t do haute cuisine but for a few chips, some fish, chicken etc they work very well. I can satisfy my craving for “fried” without having to go to the “fried food” store - or the hassle of a deep fryer. I also only eat a few pieces each time.
