  Most of the recipes in this edition seem to be made from ready made products (condensed soup, cake mix) which you just add to the slow cooker and heat through rather than from raw ingredients. Personal preference I guess, but I prefer start from scratch with the basic ingredients.

    I'd disagree with that review, some recipes you can't really make 'from scratch' (in a timely manner at least), and I wouldn't be too concerned about healthy eating when looking at a comfort food cookbook.

  I don't mean to bash on ebooks, or books in general, but aren't Youtube videos and gif recipes more effective at providing recipes?
