Not bad for AUD $150 considering local AU version is $199 (32GB). Likely Lenovo will outlast other less known Chinese brands at similar price range.

    2gb….hummm

    • So many cheap tablets are selling with 1GB. Which might work acceptably until you download the system updates from Google and it slows to a crawl.
2GB is plenty for IOS, and usable on Android.

But see fiximol's post below for Lenovo M10. So much better, even though used.

      • My tablet has 2 GB of RAM. "Usable" is an accurate description, although I don't know how it would cope if it had a more recent OS than Android 6. 16 GB of storage is too little for me.

      Humbug

2gb of ram is realistically crap

Doesn't that rather depend on what you are using it for?

  • …but lenovo is a chinese brand XD

    • Yes yes yes. Wrong wording… should be other less known ones.

  • Just logged on to say nice profile pic.

I've had two Lenovo tabs (same 10 inch model) and neither of them outlasted anything. Both stopped charging after a couple of years of light use (faulty charging port). They work perfectly other than that but of course it renders them useless.

I'm not associated, must have accidentally ticked the box and can't undo it.

    • Identical experience for me with 2 x 8" models. Very light use, lasted 1.5 years before micro USB port failed so they cannot be charged. Never again for me.

      • Interesting, the micro USB failed as well on mine

    • Same shit ..,, never again..

  • but the local version has 32gb? can you install software on a n external card?

    • +1

You can no longer do that on modern versions of Android, adoptable storage feature got canned a few versions back.

You can still partially store application data on the sd card (after first installing the app in internal memory) but it's not a feature that every app supports. It's also janky too and will make the app perform worse as SD card is a lot slower than internal storage

      • thanks, wasn't aware that feature was dropped.

The specs sound frustrating to use 16GB is simply not enough anymore. Google probably takes at least 7-8gb so you are left with 8-9GB usable. 2gb ram probably struggles with more than one or two things open nowadays, too (it's the way things go - they put more RAM in devices, apps are less judicious with RAM use and they just chew it up). And a low end Mediatek SoC … welp.

Would probably choose one of the Teclast (P10HD or P80x) if you must have an 8 inch form factor or the Alldocube iplay 20 for probably the best android tablet under $200 right now.

Or if you don't mind refurb, refurbed Lenovo M10s from grays for $139 would be a good buy with Australian delivery times (FWIW nowadays)

    • The Refurb M10 looks like a great option.

3gb RAM, 1 year warranty and Aussie stock with free shipping are all pretty good.

    • Gen 2?

      • No. Gen 1 by the look of it.

Gen 2 is called Tab M10 FHD Plus (2nd Gen) with P22T and 4GB.

    • Or the Teclast P20HD Tablet (Android 10, 10.1", 4GB/64GB for $148, pretty much the same as the Alldocube except misses out on LTE band 28.

      • +1

The alldocube iplay 20 also has a laminated screen with gorilla glass 3, and weights about 70g (around 15%) less than the teclast p20hd. Otherwise, both tablets have great panels - the alldocube apparently has the same panel as the galaxy tab a and the teclast has a panel from Sharp. If the price is close I would still go for the alldocube but the teclast p20hd is certainly an option if the aim is to get the very best value.

    • Does refurbished include a new battery? If not I would steer away from refurbished.

  • I personally didn't like the screen on the Lenovo tablets. Never used it much in the end.

  • Is this the one that doesn't support watching hd Netflix?

    • Just use stremio

  • Where's the $500 tabs s6?

  • 😱 I suggest you put a mask on avatar 😆
