Hmm just bought the Remington corded for $26 from Target. Is this one better, aside from being cordless?

  • If your after a zero cut you will not beat a Remington Rapid Cut Turbo Hair Clipper. In all the makes I have owned in the last 15 year its the best and has an extra wide blade and curved too.

    • Agree. I use rapid cut turbo for my hair cuts. It is an excellent hair clipper and one of the best I have used so far. But as it has wider blades, it is a bit hard to control smaller area, for example fading sides to behind ears. So I brought this one to compliment rapid cut. It is just as good.

    • A lot of reviews seem to say that its LiOn battery is shit though and there is no way to replace it when it dies. It seems to be a fairly common problem once its older?

i dont have the Remington Rapid Cut Turbo Hair Clipper but the model before and have been using it every 2 weeks for last 3 years with out a problem. I do my hair at zero and charge it every 3-4th time. may last longer than that but never tried.

        • Great, I bought one based on your feedback. Thanks for sharing

  • Is this one good for hair cut? Asking as if I buy this would be my first clipper and I cut my hair at home. Just thinking! Any advise?

    • +2

yes philips is great, I got one that is similar to this model like 5 years ago and it works really well. I always do my own hair cut and still use it, you just need to adjust the length setting.

      • Thanks and how difficult or easy to cut hair at home ?

I had this model and it died on me. The touchscreen stopped working after only a few (3-4) uses. Not fully waterproof either. Can’t recommend.

  • While I like the design of the Phillips range I have had far too many breakages off the attachments. Really brittle plastic, if they sorted that I would buy again.

  • I have given myself several haircuts with this since initial lockdown measures and its served me really well. The adjustments to length are easy and precise. Definitely not made for the shower like other trimmers, but for a dedicated hair clipper I think this is great. Give it to someone who knows what you want and how you want it and it can easily deliver. Do it yourself and you might end up like my 1st attempt, making a mistake on the fringe and fixing it by cutting all of your hair off…

  • This one or Multigroom 7000?
