Thanks the triple blacks never go on sale

    • +6

You missed out, couple months ago they were around $100 during the Adidas sales

      • The ones that took forever to get shipped lol

        • +12

Not like you needed them in a hurry ;)

        • I got mine in about 5 days, was pretty quick!

      • +2

that sale wrecked me .. I missed out but never want to pay >$100 for ultraboost again!

        • +2

Yeah i have the same issue. If I knew an item went for as low as it did, I am reluctant to pay more than that price in future.

      • Even the triple blacks?

        • +1

          Yep

        • I got 2 pairs of ultra boosts at $72 each and 2 pairs nmds at $60 each. Crazy stuff.

          • @J6: Yeah, I spent $400 after discount.

I wish I had bought more, I'm still not wearing half the shoes I bought! But now I see prices and think meh lol

    • I just want triple blacks for work is it really that much to ask for! Missed out on 11s. Hopefully next time.

    • +1

why are triple blacks so popular? I got a pair during the adidas site sale but not sure what they go well with in terms of outfits. I find whites/greys to be more versatile

      • versatile if you work somewhere where you have to wear black shoes.

i find white shoes a pain to keep clean, especially the midsole area that cops a lot of scuffs

  • +4

Ultraboost Black is the best looking one among other colour ways.

Thanks for the deal! Remember to combine with 7.7% cashback.

    • Cashback from where?

  • +3

Thanks just bought my first ever pair of ultra boosts lol. I hope they go well for the usual walks and runs. And general use.

    • +6

They are extremely comfortable for walking and decent for running.

    • +1

Welcome to the club you'll be walking on clouds :)

      • That doesn't sound too pleasant, I'd feel like I'm falling lmao

        • Okay maybe not clouds but they are super comfy :)

          • +1

@drezy: I'm so keen. I've been using cheaper Nikes like from DFO in the $40-60 clearance range since like forever. Then recently I got some decent $100 Kathmandu shoes that are lowkey basic hiking shoes, but feel quite great to walk in. I feel like this is the first expensive sneakers I've ever bought, like $150+

            • +5

@TwentyTwoCarats: I don't want you to have extremely high expectations, but out of all the boost shoes by Adidas, UltraBOOST has to be the most comfortable for everyday wear. Trust me I own 10 pairs :P

            • +1

@TwentyTwoCarats: It took me a solid week to get used to my first pair of ultraboost. I had only ever worn nike air/asics gel shoes previously and I found the foam sole in the UB's to be too spongy and unsupported. Fortunately I stuck with the UB's and now I absolutely love them. I own nike epic reacts and NB fresh foam, but UB's are still my favorite. Comming from a hiking shoe you will probably find the UB's very soft, but stick with them!

              • @GrantG: I usually wear US10 but sometimesss US9.5. Are the UBs really big? or should US10 do me well?

                • @TwentyTwoCarats: I find the ultraboost 4.0's fit true to size. I would go with the US10. If you are unsure wear them inside on carpet for a bit so you can return them if needed (I don't think you will need to). I'm interested to see how you find them!

      • +1

Probably be floating on clouds after.

    • +3

Most comfortable shoe I've ever worn, I've literally bought at least 5 pairs in the last 5 years.

  • +1

Typical, triple black finally on sale and no 11.

    • There was! You missed it brah!

  • Ordered, size 9. Thank you! These will hopefully last a few years

  • +3

Am I the only one that finds tightness around the ankle with ultraboosts/Adidas shoes in general? My one and only pair, ultraboost dna cny, are pretty comfy sole-wise but super tight around the ankle…

    • +1

And I thought I was the only one with this problem ;)

I have UB19 which are (mostly) fine after getting worn in. However, UB20s have slightly different (and IMHO inferior) design and are rubbing on my ankles. My triple black UB20 (from that super sale) I've only worn 4 - 5 times and then go back to UB19s for weeks for my ankles to recover.

I think it's to do with my feet shape, as I had similar issue with Asics. My Kayano 19 were the most comfortable running shoe ever. Then I got Kayano 23 and they were much "taller" design and my ankles started rubbing (and bleeding). Gave those to my son - no problem for him. I find that only Nike still have that "low cut" entry - currently run in 2 year old Nike Pegasus. They don't provide as good cushioning as as Asics, but at least my feet don't bleed so had to compromise somewhere :)

I find that rubbing with Kayano and UB is much less when running as opposed to walking, but still not comfortable for my stupid feet.

    • +1

You are not alone in this mate..same issue with shoes and ankle ankle feels really tight ..

    • I bought my first pair of UB3.0 and it was tight on the ankle. My next pair of UB3.0 I went half a size up and not tight on the ankle anymore. Ever since I have bought half a size up for all my UB, even for the ATR version. It's too bad a lot of places don't sell half sizes (only Adidas shop afaik).

The way it ankle support works is that when your heels compress, the supports pull in like a clam. That's the only way I see how it will hurt your ankle as the whole upper is primeknit, which is stretchy and not much support.

    Those are some ugly shoes

  • +2

Continental 80 white for $99 is very good price. Haven't seen those on sale except for the black ones. I just got a pair from the UK shipped for $15 more, kicking myself!

    https://www.hypedc.com/continental-80-white-scarlet-collegia…

    • Very nice find :)

    • -1

Are these comfortable? And any idea about the fit?

      • Feels like a Stan Smith. Fit is true to size. I got wider feet and I'm on 9US on these, whilst I'm on 9.5US with Ultraboost.

        • Ok yeah, do you normally wear 9 US? And is the toe box at the front super narrow since I also do have sorta wide feet and don't want my toes uncomfortably clumped together

          Thanks!

          • @monkeyoutlet: I actually went to a shoe shop for sizing before getting mine. Or if you can't find a continental, try a Stan Smith for sizing. Also depends on what size you are for Adidas as other brands like Nike's fit differently imo.

    • They were on last Adidas sale back in April , bought 3 pairs for about $56 each after cash back.

  • Hype DC should open up shop at Punchbowl.

    • +2

If they do, prolly gets ram raided every week.

  • +1

If my feet were smaller my wallet would be bigger.

  • Not fast enough, size 10 already out of stock.
It was hard pulling the trigger after paying $120 + $22 cashback last year, but still chasing that triple black.

    • im still seeing size 10 available now.

      • +1

out of stock once u add to cart

    • size 10 back in stock, just bought one

      • out again, got all the way to payment :(

  • +1

Great great pair of kicks, very comfortable.

  • Too bad no size 12 :(

  • Damn, thats a good deal. wish i had the money :(

  • I really need to block shoe deals from showing on my feed. The amount of money I spend >.<

  • How are these for gym weight training shoes when gyms open again? Any better alternatives?

    • Dude, won't that destroy the cushioning. Wear some cheap Kmart shoes mate. Your're working out, not modelling.

      • I have no idea what it would destroy, just thought I'd ask as I've never invested in any decent workout shoes. Believe me, modelling is far from what I was thinking.

    • I use the ultraboost for training. Really comfortable, no issues at all. Can't vouch for them as running shoes though (great for walking)

      • UB are designed for running so should be great as well. I wouldn’t know, never ran in them lol.

    • If you are talking about dead lift/squat form then go for proper supported flats such as the Reebok Legacy range.

If you are talking about bench/cables etc then any just about any comfy shoe will do the job.

      • Noted, I do a bit of everything so flats might be a better option then

  • +1

great thanks been waiting… got some ZX 2K

  • How comfortable are the ultra boost compare to the ZX 2K boost ?

  • For those with AMEX, remember the additional cashback of $15 if spending $100 and above.

    • +1

      Pretty sure this expired 4/8/2020.

      • Just checked and you are correct. Appreciate the heads up!

  • +1

    Cousin!! This is good. Thankssssss

  • Just before u rush buying the triple black in the link is women size..

    • You can change to men sizing

      • Out of stock for everything but size 8 as of posting in men’s unfortunately

        • I got size 9 men at around 7am Sydney time. Just checked you can still get size 9 men in the women link. On top of the part where you select the size just chage it to US MEN.

    • trigger happy..i bought the womens in mens size…

i wonder if there is any difference? I can only see mens color is like an off grey compared to the womens which looks black?

should i buy the mens and return the womens?

      • Bought women black one in men size too. I like the gold UB label.

    • +1

lol looks like a shoe made from factory floor scraps WTF

    • dEc0nStRuCtEd

    • Reminds me of a deconstructed smash avo.

    • I don’t know if they are taking the piss, but it certainly puts the “p” in pretentious.

    • Wonder who would even buy that

      • hypebeasts

  • its bugged, cant order mens size, now ive missed out on my size…

  • +2

Wow cheers OP, grabbed a size 8 mens triple black, and a size 5 womens triple black for the mrs :)

    • you're most welcome :)

  • +1

    yeah cheers OP!

ended up buying 3 pairs (2 for my in-laws) even though missus already bought UB20 triple black as my bday gift.

    • awesome, which pair did you buy for yourself ?

      • +1

all triple black 4.0 but the men's one didn't come with gold metallic UB print

  • Anybody know about the refund policy of the official Adidas site? Is it a hassle to get something returned?

    • +1

nope very easy, just lodge through parcelpoint and drop off unworn items in original packaging and box free of charge, within a couple weeks you should get your refund

      https://www.adidas.com.au/help/return.html

    • +1

      Not a hassle just slow

    • As above, it's not a hassle, just slow. So I bought a pair of Ultraboost during March(when they had a special) and it took about 2 weeks to receive a refund.

They had another sale in april and I bought another 2 more pairs (different sizes) as I wasn't sure what size I was. Anyway, I returned the shoes that didn't fit me best at the end of April. Adidas received the shoes on the 6th May. I didn't get my refund until 8-12th July. I spoke to about 8-10 different consultants during this time.

In the end customer service had to raise 2 complaints to the finance team for me to get my $. My gut feeling is that they misplaced/lost the shoes in their warehouse.

Honestly, after the entire ordeal, I definitely don't recommend buying from Adidas directly, at least during this time. I totally understand many companies are struggling with demand, but Adidas never once chased my issue up - nor notified me of anything. It was me having to do all the chasing non stop.

On top of that - I don't know if it's me, but if you want to talk to customer service, their live chat doesn't work correctly on web browsers. I tried chrome and safari. Basically I had to use the adidas app on my phone to get through to customer service.

  • I wish HypeDC would bring in half-sizes.

Ultraboost are notoriously undersized, creating a narrower fit (see comments above for ankle support issues).

As a wide foot guy, you need 0.5 sizing to give enough room. A whole size up just doesn't work.

As such, it's no deal for me :(

  • +2

Bought yesterday and arrived today. Wtf is wrong with them? 1 day shipping during the day a pandemic?

Other companies be like 10 days delay becsuse of covid. Thxbye

    • +1

that's awesome cuz! which pair did you cop ?

      • +1

Triple black!!! Thanks for the post mate

        • same here. ordered yesterday as you can see from the thread above and they arrived the next day (which is today)!

I've also cancelled one of the orders and they refunded it straight away over Paypal through their online chat. so easy to deal with and efficient!

I've never bought anything from hype dc online until now.

couldn't be happier with hype dc's turnaround time and refund policy especially during stage 4 lockdown!

can't say the same with Adidas though, unfortunately.

I've got a mate who used to work on their website sales team and was told that their backed processes and delivery time are horrible.
