    • Was it back in Dec?

      • 22nd June.

        • $68 wasn’t for the single, it was for the extension

    • Wow, $219 now for the twin pack !
You got them for a great price.

Twin pack seems like crap value when you can buy two singles for $178.50

      • Yeah that's what I did and went with two singles.

  • how many lumens is this one ?

    • from what i gather in reviews, its 530 lumens

  • Is there any way to use these without having a Philips Hue Bridge?

    • +3

Yes there is. You can connect to Home Assistant via a Zigbee adaptor.

      For example:
I'm using a Conbee II Zigbee USB Gateway which let's my Home Assistant see other devices that would normally require a special hub. Now I have LIFX and Phillips stuff playing together. Also a Tp-link globe outside.

        I love my Conbee!!
You can use cheaper option with CC based USB zigbe debugger but it’s worth buying the conbee for time and performance

EDIT: also allows me to add Mi/Aqara without Chinese cloud software app

        • I'm still learning but it's definitely good value and you aren't restricted to certain brands anymore :)

      • This is exactly the info I was looking for. Thank you!

      • Do you think This (or any other Hue Product) could work with Samsung's Smartthings Hub ? (since both support Zigbee and Zwave) ?

  • +2

I wish someone would include the Hueplugs in a Hue Sale…

    Waiting for better price.

  • I’ve thought about these but then also considered it’s the kind of thing that could be constructed easily… software being the question.
What does it actually modulate from? Does it have an spectrum analyser or what?

Sync box is coming to Australia in October

hrmm so to connect these to computer and get the experience, I need the lights and a bridge or something else?

  • if I have a twin pack, can this act as an extension and I just don't use the cable that comes with it?

Alternatively - does this come with the power pack that has 3 ports?

    • +1

The Base units (this single one and the 2 pack) come with the power pack with 3 ports.
OR you can use this as an extension and have a spare power pack.

I got one to use as an extension.

Thanks op! Picked up two :-) Plus a 29% discount on the bridge starter kit with colour bulbs wasn't too bad so I'm set now. Been waiting for a discount, but with supply chains taking their sweet time to get back up to speed, I'm happy to shave a third off.
