Pretty scummy way they have done this - since PC has Ray Tracing already.
I've heard even on the PS4 Pro it didn't run perfectly - think it's worth holding off the PS5 upgradeable version? I guess if the DLC is any good or not is also a factor.
I played regular PS4 and the performance is okay except after pausing where it'll lag for a few seconds
Ran fine on PS4 pro. TV is 55" doesn't have HDR. Still the same pause issue for 1-2secs. Games got a few bugs apparently. I did notice a couple item random generated stat errors had higher % than the next tier version. Nothing of real issue until the 2nd last level. Somehow I triggered a bug where the interaction popup stopped appearing til I loaded again. Then a level breaking glitch which meant I had redo the level. It's happened to others but very rare.
Def recommend this game if you enjoyed Alan wake or matrix path of neo.
Nice price - this is by the same studio responsible for the terrific Alan Wake. As aja12 stated, you need to get the upcoming Ultimate Edition to get the "free" next-gen upgrade.

Yeah, I loved the world and the atmosphere… the whole "vibe of it", as they say in the classics.
Bu the gameplay got repetitive - I eventually got bored and gave up without finishing it.

Yep, they haven't listed the item online and the VIC stores (even those which are open for Click and Collect) aren't answering their phones.

Great price. Just FYI for anyone that doesn’t know, there’ll be an “Ultimate Edition” of Control (base game plus the two DLC’s) released in a few weeks and that is the only version of the game that will get the PS5/Series X optimisation patch. Still no price announced for Australia, but it’s $39.99 in the US.
