  • Can I dry king bedding on this?

    • No chance, unless you're happy to wrap it around each corner and make a tunnel of sorts.

Looking at one of the photos, one decent sized shirt takes up most of one section of hanging space…. and that's on the outer line. The inner lines wouldn't fit anything more than undergarments or toddler clothes.

      • i watch this youtube it says the outer line length is 120 cm so should fit 2 adult tshirts?
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfYzZpwJwo4

        • That video shows her hanging out an entire load of baby clothes… not one adult item at all ;).

Let's see a video of her trying to hang a load of normal clothes. All I'm saying is this thing is tiny… and will be frustrating for anyone who does washing daily. Those inner lines are next to useless, yet they count them as part of the hanging line length.

          • +1

@UFO: Over 1800 reviews on amazon seem to disagree with you. Consensus seems to be it has s small footprint (it's meant to be for smaller spaces) but holds a lot for it's size. It's by no means a replacement for a full size hills hoist.

            • @Cunning Linguist: I'm not sure what the point of your post was- how am I disagreeing with 1800 amazon reviews?

I'm not saying the item is of poor quality… I'm just mentioning that it's clearly very small. I replied to a post asking if king bedding can be dried on it.

Since you've agreed that it's not a replacement to a proper clothes line, I think this whole conversation has run its course- don't you?

              • @UFO: All good I'm not having a go, and not saying you said anything about the quality. You mentioned that the product looks small would be frustrating for everyday use and I'm just pointing out that a huge amount of the reviews appear to say that the capacity is good with no problems getting a full load of washing on it. That might be useful information for people considering getting this.

I'm also saying that you need to consider the use case - calling out a judgement on it's size when it's a solution for a small space doesn't add much value. Something more constructive would be to offer up better solution that could be considered as an alternative for the use case.

  • it says need to install to the studs.
i have no idea what is studs and how to find them on my garden/house wall….

and then not sure if my $120 bosch cordless drill is able to penetrate wall?

    • What is the wall where you want to hang it made of?

      • cement

        • Cement render over brick?
You’ll need 4 dynabolt anchors from Bunnings. Your drill will be fine if it has A hammer function. You will also need a masonry drill bit.

          • @Berek: my bosch is PSR 14,4 i think it does not have hammer function.
            probably not my thing

    • More than likely you only need to find stud if installing on plasterboard or cladding. Should be find to use the included mounting hardware on brick or concrete

  • I own this. Bedding does need to be folded to fit. But it's well constructed and folds away nicely.

  • If you can wait and have a prime account, its slightly cheaper to buy from Amazon UK ($162.62).

  • I've used this for the last 2 years. It's great and works very well. It's also well constructed. I have a small courtyard. It can't compete with a full hills hoist but it also folds away and is suitable for a very small area.
