I should post on every mask deal

ARTG registration means nothing. It just means someone has taken the time to fill in a form. It doesn't mean that it has been tested, or that the TGA approves of the results. It doesn't mean that it's quality is any good or that the TGA approves of it's quality.

I don't know why people even bother saying they have ARTG registration, except for marketing.

And registration is not equal to approval.

But at least this deal does not make claims related to the ARTG registration as opposed to other deals

    • I should post on every mask deal

With the obnoxious amounts of mask-"deals" these days, you would be up for a challenge. But it's much appreciated.

      Correct

so in other word this is not TGA approved, but OP tags its as TGA approval, seems like a neg to me

It's a problem with most mask deals, because people don't know any better. I honestly don't blame the OP because not many people are familiar with the TGA or ARTG.

Many think that registering their device means it's approved, when in fact it isn't. It's a consequence of COVID really…all of a sudden people think they know the medical industry

That comes down to stores deliberately setting out to mislead people.

          • @jv: Some would be deliberate, definitely. But I suspect it is often because the stores themselves don't know the difference.

The onus should be on the store to know, because claims being made could be seen as fraudulent, and ATRG registration could open them to repercussions from the TGA. But I suspect that most people simply have not caught up to the changes in the last few months

Another mask post. Who else is sick of seeing these posts?

    • Too bad we can't hide deals via tags. Then it would be nice to mask the deals that comes up.

      Batman…

      • He needs it as his mask does not cover the mouth. :)

I actually wouldn't mind seeing posts for cheap, quality masks without the marketing spin. But the problem is every man and his dog has taken this as an opportunity to make some dough.

Perhaps the admins can make a MaskBargain section to keep the main area free?

    Postage $10.50

  • Thanks OP 😷

  • An outdoor furniture company selling masks?

I guess no point importing furniture into retail stores from over the seas, better profit and market for doing masks from over the seas.

Add to the list: florist, fruit shops, mobile phone stores etc… all cashing in selling masks.

I think if they want to advertise for masks, they should pay to post here. Otherwise go sell on ebay.

Yep this site has become a spamming ground for all these unrelated shops selling masks now

    Insufficient quantity anyway.
