      Yes.
The phone number on your account is to contact / identify you to Rewards.

This phone number is not linked to the account, the purchase is - as a 10% discount from Rewards. Same as any purchase using your Rewards Card.

If you are already with Woolworths for the starter sim, can I just purchase this to use after my 1-month?

    • Also keen to know this. My guess is you can't use it but I'd like to know for sure.

    • Yes was the answer from WW few months back. You would just move to this plan and any unused data would roll over too

      • I have just been told this is incorrect. See below

I'm currently on the $10 a month prepaid plan with woolworths. If I purchase this deal via the Woolworth website via cashrewards https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/560152

Can I change from the $10 a month pre-paid plan to the $60 Woolworths 180-day Prepaid Plan this way or can this only be done using the recharge option via the mobile app?

Hi – that promo is for new connections. So in your case, you'd need to recharge onto the $60/180 day plan via the app or My Account

        Cheers
        Rod

  • Anyone know if Woolworths have e-sims yet?

    • Only the main telcos do them when I last did my research, none of the mvnos.

      • Ok cheers

  • can you port your old number?

    • +1

Yes you can, I've done it from belong to Woolworths for my wife

    • Yes, as long as it's not currently with Woolworths Mobile.

  • It's not really 10% off a month if you have to wait 60 days for the offer to activate, right?

    • +1

Well yes its 10% off a month after the 60 day waiting period.

    • +2

I didn't even have to wait a month for my 10% off to show up you might be lucky too

  • +1

It appears data roll over only applies if recharging on the same plan. Something to consider when changing plans when compared to Belong.

Data Rollover: On this Plan, any unused Plan Data will be rolled over to be used within the next recharge period, when you set up auto-recharge on activation and recharge on the same Plan before credit expiry. If you do not recharge before credit expiry, you forfeit any rolled over Data.

Hi TA, can I buy this and activate in Nov, while do I still receive cash back if not activated until then? Thanks

    • +2

Hey champ. Please see here. I will respond to that comment once I have more information. All the best :)

Personally it is fine for me, I use these SIMs in a secondary phone that I was sent to test & review a few months back (Realme 6) by Product Reviews so it currently has no SIM so six months for $28 sounds great to me ($4.66 each month). I use almost no data as I use the Wi-Fi network so it at least makes the phone usable. We also shop exclusively with Woolworth's on-line.

In our other phones we use Belong at $10 a month & buy extra "never expire" data on eBay at generally $10 for 20GB or cheaper for more. Is this legal, probably not but many do it!

    • How do you find those never expire data add-ons and are they available for all operators? And why would it be illegal you think? I searched on ebay but couldn't find them. I was probably not using the proper keywords.

      • +1

Can't speak for other operators but you buy Belong data from eBay and ozbargain classifieds for 30-40cents per GB

      • +1

In eBay search just use "belong" in the search (or "belong data"), you will find many! Also look on Facebook Marketplace. Together we have now around 150GB which is transferable to any Belong account.

As far as I am aware Belong is the only one that offers "never expire" data though there may be others? This is the primary reason that we use Belong! We have low data usage anyway but I have acquired around 150GB as they may well change the rules.

Great, thank you for the info.

I'm already with woolworths mobile and have the same plan that doesn't expire until Jan of next year.. Can I buy this to recharge and add an extra 180 days onto my current plan? Will that still count towards the $32 cashback?

  • +1

Thank you, this is a good deal for the parents.

  • +1

    Hey guys,

What about buying the $20.00 prepaid plan for 30 days & getting the whole $20.00 as cash back.

The conditions say, only the 1gb prepaid plan that's available for $10.00 is ineligible for cash back.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Cheers!!

Doesn't seem much point for only a month?

    • +1

i want to know too? maybe a $10 profit if you get a wish card too. but how long do you need to keep number activate for cash back and will it still active for how long if you dont recharge it?

  • Payment does not go through using valid credit cards with sufficient funds. Been trying since yesterday. Perhaps they have reached a threshold or something?

  • +1

Any updates on activation date? Also anyone tried today, is it still available.

  • Not really surprised woolworths is reviewing so many orders. They are shocked. Why are people wanting to signup all of a sudden is what they are saying around the office. This must be investigated!

    • +1

Message to Woolworths: Never underestimate the power of OzBargain. And focus on Cashback to get more new users.

  • Woolies order has now been finalised and dispatched.
But no tracking. Sigh. Hopefully it comes good or TA fixes it ;)

    • I've only received being reviewed email and not confirmation email yet. Still no tracking in CR. Should i be worried yet?

      • probably
TA is trying to help with mine and I really hope CR give me the cashback. This is not a deal in the slightest paying the full $60. This is also one of the reasons I hate getting 'deals' that are only deals if it depends on a large percentage of it being paid back via cashback.

I always do cashback in an incogntio browser with no addons etc
Loaded this deal with the link provided by TA
Never click anywhere else when doing cashback. If I do, I close it all and start again.

  • Guys, been advised by Woolies Mobile that due to circumstances beyond their control, cashback will drop to $20 from 4pm AEST 24/08/20. Thank you.

    • -2

10 minutes notice of this ending is pretty poor.

      • +2

Not much we (CR) can do unfortunately. This was communicated to us 2 minutes before I commented above. Not ideal I know and the OP did clearly state 'unless withdrawn prior'. We're at the mercy of the stores and we need to abide by their requests, or deals such as these will be few and far between.

      • +1

Hi Miroslav. Activation period was always inside 30 days as per the terms - that never changed - Woolies simply confirmed that it stood. Flash deal? It ran successfully for almost 3 full days and as per the OP, could be withdrawn at any time. There was plenty of time to purchase. Apologies if you were inconvenienced, but as explained, totally out of our control. Thanks.

    • Made the order yesterday. Woolworths response was "Order being review'. Yet to get confirmation. Will this effect my cashback when confirm?

      • Hi. I’m assuming your CR has already tracked successfully?

        • Not shoeing on my cashrewards.?

          • @PennyWisePF: Maybe best to try cancel then as the purchase should have tracked by now. Don’t want you being out of pocket.

            • @tightarse: Order has been confirmed but still no cashback. I definately followed the steps and ordered through Cashback link

              • @PennyWisePF: Same.. I followed the instructions… I did mine on Sat. click is registered but no tracking.

  • I purchased the plan on the 21st at 10pm and it got dispatched already. However, I still didn't get the notification from Cashrewards. I can see it in the click history but it doesn't seem to be tracked yet.

    • Should be well and truly tracked by now. Did you follow the steps in the OP? Finding a few people did not click out via the offer on the CR website, as that had a tracking deeplink to the offer.

      • Thanks for the fast response. Yes, I did the exact steps and without visiting other websites. I used cashrewards several times before and never had this problem.

  • +3

Waited until the last day to purchase. Woolies withdrew early, disappointing.
Thanks for the work though TA.

    • Still available but $20 cash back

      • Thanks. Probably won't get it, 12GB with only $20 back now

        • +1

Maybe worth it for 10% discount on groceries once a month?

  • Ordered yesterday all I got purchase was under review. No confirmation received for purchase to date and no tracking on CR. This is not looking good…….

  • Ordered on 22/8 and got review email immediately but yet still to receive the confirmation email, no tracking in CR either. Funds has been taken out of my account, webchat doesn't work on Woolies Mobile website, no number to call.

I had to call Woolies Online(shopping) and got transfer to a number that no one answered after 30 - 40 minutes, ended up emailing customer service to lodge a complaint to request a refund.

Never touching Woolies Mobile again, thanks to TA for the effort but I've been through countless providers and Woolies is probably the worst of all. Not even a contact number on their website for their Mobile department.

    • I received a confirmation email immediately, no mention of review, all went smoothly but cashback not till end Nov

    • Thx to TA for reaching out to Woolies on my behalf, let's hope I'll hear from Woolies soon.

      • Good luck

      • Still zero response from Woolies, tried calling today and still no answer, no answer from complaint email sent last Thursday as well, despite the auto reply email saying they would try to respond within 48 hours, I had no choice but to lodge a complaint with the TIO.

I just want my refund, at this stage I don't even want the product anymore. I'm not sure if I'm just unlucky in this case but their customer service is basically non-existent, i can't even get in contact with them!

        • Did you try 1300 793 417

          • @corky: Yeah that's one of the numbers i tried from Google.

            • @SexyBear88: Strange, I get through to them all the time during business hours

  • Received sim card in the mail today

  • Anyone still waiting on delivery of the SIM? I ordered the same day this was posted (21/8), dispatched on 24/8, but nothing's arrived. Located in Melbourne.

    • Yep same here, although I haven't checked the mailbox today yet.

    • Nothing as of yet

    • Update: mine arrived today 13 days (9 business days) after ordering.

    • 10th of Sept and I havent received anything yet :-(

      • Neither I, ordered on 21st

        • Spoke too soon. Got delivered today, just now. Phew :-)

  • +2

Can we have another deal please! I missed this one and I need one in 7 days!!!
