You gotta put the advertised price in the title, so that’s $60. It can be combined with $20 cash back.

  • +5

This is perfect for melbournians, I haven't used mobile data in months

    • +2

This would be cheaper with more data.

Belong $40 Starter Pack for $20 @ Officeworks, use option one - 6 months would cost $35 with 25GB.

      • Belong Option 1 won't work anymore….

        • There is a New Option 1.

          • +3

@Arthur Dunger: I like Belong. But if you consider the $10 Wish e-gift card referral here, this becomes $30 for 180 days. Plus the 10% off groceries. Granted less data but people need to make a call on their needs.

          • @Arthur Dunger: Is it in belong's website?

          • @Arthur Dunger: What's the new option 1? Cheers

            • @cx110: New Option 1 (4 Months 23GB) - Start out on the $25 10GB per month plan. When the first payment date comes you'll already have 10GB data plus you get another 10GB (Double Data). Then switch to the $10 1GB per month plan for the 2nd & remaining months. The first 4 months cost is covered ($40 starter pack credit plus $20 referral credit) $5.00 will be left over for the 5th month.

    • +2

Perfect for anyone who's working from home. I've used like 10GB since March. Before that I was using like 10GB every month haha.

      • I got the 240gb boost account in November, still have like 190gb left…

Knowing my luck I'll buy a long term, low data sim in November and nbn will go down.

  • +6

So you could also get the 1GB $10 plan and get $20 Cashback ($10 profit)

    • too good to be true?

      • Nope, it’s happened before, there once was an Amaysim deal that give ~$10 cash back and only cost $1 for the plan.

        • +6

Am currently on $10 35GB Amaysim Deal with $21 cashback💰
Plus Amaysim gave an extra 30GB for my Birthday🎉
          That was a great Deal!

        • +2

          Fantastic, ++++1

      • +3

"Cashback is ineligible on the 1GB $10 prepaid plan." <<< this is the term in CashReward

        • +5

Looks like they have just updated the terms. Lucky I have kept a screenshot.

          • @TomGum: Do you have one for Shopback? Can you share it?

          • @TomGum: Can you please share that?

        • +1

          Same now in ShopBack.
Someone stuffed up - it was never meant to be included in the $20 cashback Deals.

      • From the cashback referral link
Cashback is ineligible on the 1GB $10 prepaid plan.
        Beaten to it

    • ordered. In before they update the terms and conditions.

    • Who's better to deal with, shopback or cashrewards?

      • +1

Both are just as bad. Cashrewards ShopBack

      • +9

CR is a pain in the a** to update mobile number. They just activated the 2-step authentication without even letting you know and you just have to go through all the hassles to update mobile number because of this. I would stay clear of them for now unless they have higher cashback than Shopback.

If they want to turn on 2-step authentication, they should have thought about this and have a better process to update mobile number via email confirmation code instead of you having to contact them to raise a ticket then have to send through the bank statement and the like. Very stupid move I would say. They just turned it on by default and doesn't care if you need to verify your mobile number first.

Not sure how this CR management approved this change, user need to turn on 2-step authentication by themselves and in the process they need to update and verify the number that will be used for 2-step authentication, not just by flipping the switch in their server.

        • +4

I concur with this. They requested my passport sccanned copy for verification before they could disable 2FA to allow update. It's intensely frustrating to have to do this for a relatively small amount of cashback.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if they are required to do this due to some anti-money laundering laws,

        • +1

Particularly when so many of the cash back deals are prepaid mobile.

It's easier to update your phone number with a bank than with CR, what a joke.

          • +2

@Its4me: Because of this annoying change I won't use CashRewards unless I have to and will switch all to Shopback for now. SB usually have higher cashback rate anyway. I know some of my friends also just wait for all the cashback with CR to clear then will just withdraw all at once and leave.

    • Cashback is ineligible on the 1GB $10 prepaid plan.

    • Thanks, managed to get in before they updated the conditions.

  • +5

So you found a Woolies Mobile offer😉
But 12 GB over 6 months for $40 is minimal data.

Makes the $9.90 Kogan Deal, 60GB for 90 days seem good.
Am still waiting for a better Deal.

    • +3

      Victorians only

      • +3

Read the comments in Deal - available to all!

        • +5

He is making a joke that if you have to be within 5km radius of your home that you don't need data.

          • +1

@fadeinthemix: That linked Kogan Deal states it is only available to people in Vic.
Plus only if porting number, & only for "new" customers.

It's limited Data inclusion suitable for Vic had been commented on much earlier.

          • @fadeinthemix: No he isn't.

        • -2

          Whooshh

    • +4

      true but telstra vs vodafone

      • Yes - That's the main advantage at the higher cost for far less data.

    • Except Kogan is … KOGAN 🥜🥜🥜 = 💩

      • Never had a problem with Kogan Mobile - over many years of SIM hopping.
But have had problems with Kogan, which I avoid!!!

  • +7

I'm expecting the 10% off once a month to pay for this and more very quickly. I don't think I'll even use the sim.

    • +3

It can be stacked with some targeted offers & used with discount eGift card to save more.

Got it with $140 annual comprehensive car insurance policy for 1st year. Received $100 credit on Rewards card.

      • Can you change the everyday rewards card that is eligible for the 10% off from month to month to take advantage of any rewards promos that appear on family member's cards?

      • Htf is your comprehensive only $140? Did you jack up your excess to 5k or something lol

        • Car is probably worth $150

          • @Luo18740: Insured for only $3500.
Old car from family that drives well & looks good. Only maintenance cost in last few years was a new battery.

Free car, almost free insurance & monthly 10% discount on groceries! Why pay more?

        • +1

Have explained it several times before. It can be a good deal😉

No, standard excess, unlimited km, standard policy, just price beat offer for 1st year.

A well maintained old car in a safe area with no accidents & good driver history. That keeps insurance & other costs low.

Had a comprehensive (limited km) policy renewal notice for $170 from existing insurer. (That policy included discounts including multiple policies with that insurer.) Woolies automatically price beat it by $30 with unlimited km.

Used code from Deal for 20k Rewards points.

Discount is only for first year, then Woolies want over double that. So will get a better Deal. Comment in a car insurance Deal you can cancel policy & start again as new customer😉

So comprehensive insurance policy was effectively free for first year.

          • @INFIDEL: Yep key point is '90 Accord 👌

            • +1

@CVonC: Old car as I said, only driven 100k, regularly serviced by Honda, looked like new - until given to me last year😉
Good to get almost free insurance & 10% discounts though.

        • +1

Woolworths insurance also offer pay by the month.. points credit after 45 days.. $100 credit on rewards card for $30 outlay rinse and repeat

          • @randomusername2017:

Woolworths insurance also offer pay by the month

Used to be with no penalty but not anymore :(

    • +3

I assume the 10% works when paying with 5% discounted GC too

      • Yep!

  • +5

The conditions for the 10% off states you must be "active with us for more than 60 days". So presumably you'd get four 10% off shops over 180 days. If you spent $100 on average that'd pay for the sim.

Does anyone who uses woolworths mobile know how they give out the vouchers? Does it become available on the first of each month?

Also, I wonder if you could stack the cashback with a referral.

    • +3

It's sent as an email (am with Woolies insurance).

Receive a code for online purchase or scan linked Rewards card.

Sent early in month. Usually only for purchases on certain dates, but for month during this pandemic.

Often other offers are better than just 10% off, so have rarely used it.

    • +1

I simply scan my linked EDR card and the offer pops up on the self serve POS. I can choose to use it then or wait until a larger shop later in the month.

    • +2

I took my woolies insurance 20 days in advance. The date of cover was not even started and I was eligible for 10% discount in the previous month as I had already signed up with them although my cover was due to start.

      Hope this helps your answers.

  • Any recommendations on prepaid plans with international calling? The population Boost 150 is not available anymore :(

    • +7

      👶population Boost
      I think that's a very different offer😉

    • +4

      lol.. i can't edit it. I mean "popular" :D

      • The Boost "population" – that's a different league altogether.
I post deals which have 1 specific distinguishing point. For example, this one's the cheapest for a 180 day expiry, of course you will have to forgo other factors such as International Calling, Loads of data, etc.

        • For a decent data inclusion, there's the $99 Catch connect with 60GB data valid for a year but that is again 25% Costlier than this deal.
        • For international inclusions, the $150 Boost plan still remains the best value for money.
        • For a good amount of data, you could take the Catch Connect $120 plan with 120GB for 365 days.
    • Best Deal Plaza still have 520 of them in stock at $139.95.

      • Would boost honor that? Best Deal Plaza Website also says we can back order.

        • +1

People have tried since expiry and it's worked apparently. The offer seems locked onto the Serial number. You just don't get the option to extend after 12mths like those who activated before the 11th.
Email Best Deal Plaza and see what they say , get offer of refund if it doesn't work and pay with PayPal?

      • From BOOST website
"80GB FOR 12 MONTHS. RECHARGE AVAILABLE TO CUSTOMERS WHO ACTIVATE BEFORE 10 AUGUST"
        https://boost.com.au/shop/150-prepaid/

  • +1

When does the plan need to be activated

    • 180 days

      • +1

Isn't that the credit expiry period? Not to do with when it needs to be activated?

        • Oh that I'm not aware of, only knows the SIM card pack says need to be activated within 180d.

    • +2

FYI, I ordered one last week and it just arrived a couple of days ago and the expiry date on the sim card is 15/4/2023.

      • Thats good is there a mention of when the plan itself needs to be activated?

  • +2

After placing an order I got this…. is this normal, or am I just special?

    Your order is being reviewed
xxxxxx, thank you for placing an order with Woolworths Mobile. We are currently reviewing your order and will let you know the outcome via email as soon as we can. Below is your order summary:

    • +2

Possibly a high volume of orders being placed via Ozbargain / cashback link.
      They may think that's suspicious.
      Happens on some sites.

    • let us know how it goes ^.^

  • The mini pre-paid plan is just $10 a month, with $20 cashback? $10 profit?

  • Woolworths is not accepting payment, my end atm. Guessing they are getting bombarded or scrambling to change their terms and conditions. =P
    Will try again soon.
EDIT: Attempted with multiple cards alas to no avail.

  • +10

Thanks OP, went with SHOPBACK as CR chose to target some selected customers (not me!) with an Amazon offer today. So in turn I’ve targeted shopback today :)

  • Ordered my sim last week… same deal just waiting for sim to arrive :)

  • -2

    Only 12gb for 180days??

    • +3

      Only $40 for 180 days??
