Thanks for the detail, I did it once with a $50 pack credit in the past but the rep said it's only one-off, wanted to find out if others done it before.
Yes did it twice last weekend - no problem albeit slow via the chat to get it done.
Yeah, looks like they still "silently" allow it, thanks.
Need some advice.
I need to cancel my existing plan before the end of the contract.
The contract is with Telstra.
I want to keep my mobile number.
But I only need the cheapest sim plan (no data, nothing special, just for incoming calls if anything).
Is this the best deal for me?
Amaysim or Aldi PAYG probably.
Appreciated.
Any better than the other?
Amaysim "as you go" plan is $15/year, on Optus network.
ALDI PAYG is $15/year, on Telstra wholesale network.
Lebara "standard plan" (PAYG) is $10/year, on VF network.
If Vodafone reception is acceptable in the places you go, Lebara is the cheapest for receiving calls only. If you make calls or use data, Lebara's charges for those are higher than Amaysim, not sure about ALDI.
Lebara is the cheapest

amaysim $30 for $10 => $9.50 price-beat @ Officeworks => add as credit => $4.75/yr for 2yrs :)
@lovbargain: How so? I can see that $10 Amaysim recharge vouchers are supposedly available (I've never seen them), but the PAYG plan cost is $15.
Lebara Pay as you go is
$2 sim card fee
$10 minimum reload (lasts 365 days)
Incoming calls are free, else https://www.lebara.com.au/support/standard-plan/ (will be deducted from your $10 reload)
Mucho gracias
If your phone is esim compatible, you don't have to pay the $2 fee for a sim card.

anyone knows if amaysim has visual voicemail now? used them for 1 month a while ago and they didn't have it
Does optus have visual voicemail also?
If I get the $1 sim, can I receive SMS with it without spending any more money?
None of the SA Store has $240 one, shame on WW

My boost plan ends on the 21st Oct anyone know of any cheap sim deals and who should I use?
I’m hearing that you can just buy a $2 Telstra sim port out of boost and port back in next day.
But if I was to find a good cheap sim deal at least I have access to calls and txt to tick over with.
I notice got the boost 12 month plan yet but I know on here a few sell it.
It’s many years I have ported out and in and I can’t remember the process is it all done online.
I will need to do mine and also get wife’s one done as well.
So I’m thinking get 2x boost plans as will need to be posted and then look into the sim to port out.
Being a boost customer will the Telstra sim not cause issues?
I can only see $99 $150 then $270 at my woolworths. And the staff couldn't find it on their system.
Anyone know if I can activate two amaysim prepaid plans under my name?
one would be for 365 day PAYG and the other is 28 day starter plan
You can, I have 3 numbers under my name for in-laws and my parents.
Thanks for confirming
Can you still use the value on prepaid pack as credit ? I read somewhere they still allow it on chat but not sure.
