  • Seems good, although I can't help but notice that they don't mention the OS anywhere. Everyone else sells it with Win7 HP, fairly close to this price, so I'm assuming…

yes, updated with the OS. thanks mate for mentioning.

Quite a good laptop that could run Battlefield 3 on mid-low specs.

The only thing I have an issue with, is it being a HP which have some of the highest instances of malfunctioning within the 3-5 years, so buyer beware.

  • It's not a refurb or anything is it? Seems like a pretty decent deal.

You could get a Dell XPS which are better bang for your buck. http://www.dell.com/au/p/xps-l502x/pd
Although this is at the cost of an extra $200, not including the customization available for the laptop. Also, I think RACV members qualify for a discount but that was at the start of this year.

It would be best to wait til the end of November / Start of January where usually there are laptop sales.

New, sealed in box, with medium low stock left.

  • So is this the same as dv6-6146tx, except for the lack of BDROM, 4gb ram vs 8gb, 500gb hdd vs 640gb?
Also does this one have the fingerprint reader?

    • The DV6-6146TX also has a 2GB GPU as opposed to 1GB and there is a 90 gram weight difference as you could imagine. The DV6-6145TX model doesn't have the fingerprint reader according to its HP spec page whereas it is listed on the DV6-6146TX's spec page.
