Noctua NH-U12A Premium CPU Cooler $154.91, NF-A14 PWM $29.69 + $9 Shipping $163.91 Delivered @ Noctua Cooling Solutions Newegg

Recently bought a computer case and three NF-A14's. The Hyper 212 is nice but I was wanting more Noctua to match the rest. These are $209 where I bought my case and fans and most other places. I was on the fence with upgrading cooler, and then I see OZBargains had Noctua from AusNugz deal on the single fan. Took a look and bought this one so I thought I would post the dual fan version. Aussie price is $209 + postage and handling usually. 6 year warranty and these guys are good with future proofing for next gen.

140mm class performance in 120mm size: 7 heatpipes, more surface area and a dual fan configuration with state-of-the-art NF-A12x25 fans allow the NH-U12A to rival many 140mm size coolers!
Excellent case, RAM and PCIe compatibility: Fits most tower cases (158mm height), doesn’t overhang the RAM slots on LGA115x and AM4, doesn’t block the PCIe on most ATX and Micro-ATX motherboards.
Quiet, state-of-the-art NF-A12x25 120mm fans with Low-Noise Adaptors and PWM for automatic speed control: Full cooling performance under load, virtually silent at idle!
Includes high-end NT-H1 thermal paste and SecuFirm2 mounting system for easy installation on Intel LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155, LGA1156, LGA2011, LGA2066 and AMD AM4, AM3(+), AM2(+), FM1, FM2(+)
Renowned Noctua quality backed up by 6-year manufacturer’s warranty, deluxe choice for Intel Core i9, i7, i5, i3 (e.g. 10900K, 10700K, 10600K, 10980XE) and AMD Ryzen (e.g. 3950X, 3900X, 3700X, 3600X)

My first post, I hope I got this right. (had to wait till 6am to post? I guess its running from deal location)

For this price range, I would personally pick the more heavy duty D15 Chromax version for additional $15… currently $178.09 from Amazon but was cheaper not too long ago.

BTW, your finding for U12A is decent too…

    Welcome to OZB!

True, I considered the chromax / d15, but this lil sucker performs as good as the larger coolers and matches the rest of my set up well :D

      • Yeah I read U12A performs well to cool down 3900x… I just can't stand that brown colour…

These are always $45+ locally. So this is a super price for anyone buying multiple of them and paying for one shipping I believe.

      • Yep, usually $45 for a refurb.

      Amazon always 33 something..

Is there a code or something? Showing as $47 when I click on the link….

Click on the “More offers from” box and select Noctua Cooling Solutions as the seller.

      • Click the "offers from" button, then this seller/deal is listed there.

    • Any recommendations for powering these in an AV cabinet? Google turns up lots of home made projects, but does anyone know of an off the shelf solution For powering these outside of a PC? TIA

      • +1

Do you have a PC in your AV cab?
If so, any kind of USB fan hub would work.

That, or you could look at importing some AC Infinity gear.

        • Yes, plus I have lots of single port USB chargers from various devices lying around. Will take a look at the AC Infinity gear. Thanks!

      • +2

AC Infinity S7 from Amazon via prime.

You can upgrade to the Airplate S7 (or buy the mounting plate separately) for a nicer install. Or the T7 to get digital control.

        • That looks like a better solution! Cheers.

Get the FLX version of the fan, it comes with an adapter cable which I believe converts it to molex. Then you can get any old molex power cable from an old PC and solder that to any 12V supply (such as a power adapter from a router) to give it 12V full speed. The FLX version comes with additional LNA and ULNA cables which lower the speed of the fan but you will need a 5V supply to take advantage of it.

I purchased through newegg which was direct with noctua recently
Took a 3-4 weeks to arrive
      Just an FYI

      • Whoa that's crazy cakes!!

  • The fans on this are amazing. I upgraded my 11 year old NH-U12SE with the same fans NF-A12, and performance is even better!

  • Dark Rock pro 4, $139 and bit that dog ugly colour scheme:)

  • Looking to build a mini ITX system. wondering would this a better option or the U12S with 2 fans?

  • Good price . Keep in mind PP payment will add more $5 plus for currency change .

I just saw the Noctua cooler recently in a youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23vjWtUpItk
It outperforms water coolers for both performance and noise (check at 7:00 mark)

  • Does anyone know how the NF-A14 PWM compares to Noctua NF-P14s redux? Is it just that the NF-A14 PWM is quieter, but less performance?

  • +1

Am using the u12A on an overclocked 8700k. Solid performance. Paid close to $200 ouch but substantially smaller than the d15. Very quiet.

  • how long does shipping take??… im looking at purchasing this and a few nf-a14 for me new build

    • Took about 5 days.
