      Extra strong is good.

Extra Strong also on sale but 40% for $4

I would say to make sure you get extra strong. I bough this tea the other day and its really really weak.

        • thanks bought 8 boxes to cover click & collect..

    • Agree that it’s the best you can get from Colesworths. Much better options if you look elsewhere

    • I actually really like the Nerada ones, as well as their Chai version.

put some fresh ginger in this once in a while and thank me later

    • +1

Ginger is too expensive for me to buy 😟

      • Check at your local green grocery.

      • get minced ginger

        • +1

          Minced ginger has vinegar.

    • i love some fresh ginger my tea but i find it hard to store fresh ginger. in the fridge or not, the ginger grows fungi in a day or two. Any suggestions?

      • +2

        Keeps well in the freezer

      • I keep it on top of the fridge (outside) and it last long for few weeks

Easily the tastiest supermarket black tea. If you drink your tea black, with no milk to mask the flavour the difference between DIlmah and pretty much every other brand on the shelf is night and day. I prefer the extra strong bags myself.

  • Go to an Indian shop and buy Tata Gold loose leaf - destroys any supermarket 'tea'

    • How much does that cost?

      • +1

        ~12 $ for 900g

    • thanks, might give it a try. is it nice without milk?

      • +1

I usually have 3 scooped teaspoons in about 350-400ml of water, let it brew for about 15mins and dunk in a teaspoon or 2 of condensed milk.. Can't beat it lol

    • Dilmah also sells loose tea but not sure whether it is available at supermarkets.

      • It is, but it is rarely discounted.

Dimlah's premium tea is better than the extra strength

    • If you like weak tea , sure

      • +1

Just need to double bag. Which does seem wasteful but tastes better than the extra strength

        • +1

Hahaha I double bag the extra strength

  • This Dilmah is the best black tea i've had available at ColesWorth. I prefer the extra strength one

Totally politically incorrect to use the colonial term Ceylon. It is Sri Lanka. Shame on you Dilmah!

    • +5

I am Sri Lankan and I don’t take any offence by them doing that. We have been known as Ceylon for a long time and when you consider tea, Ceylon tea is the well known more than Sri Lanka tea. It’s just a tradition of tea being named as Ceylon tea.
And a tea lover would know which country it’s from when they see Ceylon.

    • +1

Pretty sure the company is founded by a Sri Lankan, run by Sri Lankans and its headquarters are in Sri Lanka. If they're OK with it I'm not going to tell them not to use the word.

    • The naming convention on teas is above your political understanding.
