In Need of a New Cheap Bed Preferably Gas Lift

I'm in need of a new queen size bed, preferably with gas lift storage and prefer Black PU leather but dark fabric would be okay too.

What websites are there other then your obvious ones like Kogan and Amazon and eBay etc that have good bargain price furniture?

It doesn't need to be fancy just have a headboard higher then 90cm, no footboard or a relatively small one so can sit over end of bed when gaming and be sturdy enough to hold a big dog and person. I got my last one off Crazy Sales and I settled for white because it worked out $120 cheaper but this time black or dark fabric is basically a must with the muddy paws prints.

Suggestions please!

You can store things in the hammock whilst you're not sleeping in it.

That's the funniest way of spelling preferably I've ever seen. Thanks for the giggle.

  • Given you are in Melbourne can you wait a little while until you can go back in the stores? There are a few scratch and dent places around for furniture but you won’t be able to get to them, at the moment. The DFO at Docklands has a few places on the first floor. I’m not sure about the gas lift option, though.

There is this from catch of the day, but I don’t know how good it is.

Be careful with the cheaper lifts
    1) They have click slats which are super thin wood which means they have a high risk of cracking and splitting. (click slats means they "click" into the frame down the middle of the bed)
    2) The gas lifts are known to leak and the warranty on the lift is usually only 12m

Try and find a solid base lift, what this means is the lifting part which goes under the mattress is a single solid piece of timber/pine/mdf etc (not a slat at all)
this will give better rigidity and support long term.

Not sure what you consider "cheap" but there are some retailers around that have style as i mentioned for around the $900 mark (less in some designs)
I would link a few but due to my association with the bedding furniture industry i risk going in the penalty box if i linked anything.
