Adding a Secondary SSD Harddisk to a Desktop

Hi guys, need some advices on this.
I have a desktop which already has a M2 SDD with Win10 OS installed. I am happy to leave this one as it is and continue to operate Windows 10 with it.
There is another HDD (500gb) and I want to add a 500gb SSD to be a secondary storage HDD.
My question is - do I need to change Bios after put in the new SSD (not going to install OS onto it).

    No

  • No just go into disk management and assign the new SSD a drive letter.

You don't. Its actually fairly straight foward. If the new drive is brand new you'll need to enter disk management, assign a drive letter and format it.

  • If it is for storage you may be better off getting a larger non-SSD harddrive of a few TB.

This is a very delicate procedure, installing a second SATA based SSD that is just for storage. You need to pay me $200 to do this for you, or your compute could literally explode in your face, your hair blown back and singed and your beak rotating around your head like a Daffy Duck cartoon.
