These are fine as dog balls, but they don't hold up very well in match play.
They fly out, don't take spin well and feel very gummy on the strings.
If someone is serious about tennis I would recommend the Wilson US Open balls $160 for 72 balls from TennisOnly.
These are fine for casual play where people don't notice or care about the balls, dogs etc.
The Dunlop ATP (not championship; metal can) balls are really really nice tho. Be careful not to mix up the two very similar sounding products.
Yeah exactly. I guess similarly, the Penn balls from Costco could be alright for dogs, just not tennis.
I'll just wait for Rebel to have another $7 special for the Wilson Premier.
The Costco balls while being bad, are still better than the Dunlop ATP Champs.
The Wilson rep said that Tour Premier is being discontinued because they don't want to have multiple SKU lines for hard court.
Basically US Open ball replaces Tour Premier because US Open is better branding and Tour Premier has low sales (vs Wilson AO).
You might be able to catch a clearance sale because of this.
