100% love this model since I replaced this one with my old mi vacuum.
I believe this is the best deal if don't need a larger water tank.

Who repairs these when they break down? I have the s5 and the sensor is stuffed after only 18 months.

At 18months no one would. Just buy the replacement online and do it yourself. Easier than a oil change

But before that try giving a good clean. Use soem compressed air to clean it out and he rear exhaust vent too
having s6 at home. it works very well in tile or timber floor. highly recommended.
if having mixed floor such as carpet and timber, wet mopping fiber over the carpet is nightmare.
so it doesn't avoid carpet when mopping?
Does it still not have the no mop zone? I thought this was released in the last firmware?
you can set up to avoid by setting up zone, however, if it was mopping on timber floor first, the mopping cloth was wet, not completely dry. when it came to carpet floor. it did stop mopping but the wet cloth over the carpet did cause some issues.
unless you force it to clean carpet floor zone before timber floor.
or trying to clean the whole place without mopping. then setup mopping zone for mopping.
No you got it back wards. It's not a moping zone but a "no-mop" zone as in it will completely avoid the area you highlight in the edit map function. So it will vaccum and mop your hardwood floor but when it comes to a carpeted area it will avoid it. Then once it's finish you can remove the mop attachment and do a zone clean on the rug
How does this compare to the S5 Max? Just purchased one as a gift so I want to know how it compares.
