  • Tried to look.
    Are these LPG only?
    Or natural gas?

    • +1

I think it's an LP only.

      • Thanks!
Trying to find more natural gas stuff!

        • It's usually just a change in jet outlet size, so if you can find the right key you should be fine. Sometimes imports will come with both LPG and natural gas jets, so perhaps this one would.

          • @banana365: I think natural gas (in the home) can’t handle the btu requirements of these burners

Wok Hei is a big plus!!

    • Please explain.

      • "Wok hei" is used to describe the taste that comes from wok cooking over high heat. Often only achieved at restaurants due to their burners.

        • Also refered to as the Wok's breath.
This is essentially the splatter from hot burning oil from the high heat onto the food which gives it it's Smokey flavor.

  • Wind is a big problem with this things if you are planning to use it outside the controlled environment (like camping for example)

  • dont you need some sort of adaptor for connecting to LPG cylinders?

  • Any safety standards to check when buying these burners, especially overseas?

  • Cook fried rice with wok hei, not like Jamie Oliver.

      Uncle Roger would approve

      • Big1 = Uncle Roger?

This one is for regular use. That one is designed for wok stir fry(Asian cooking).

  • Has anyone bought this?
Can it be connected to Australian 3kg / 9kg gas bottles?

    • +2

I got it but still waiting on delivery as its from the US.

    • I got - but it looks like it needs an adapter which I've ordered from Amazon

      https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B088QYX7FN/ref=ppx_yo_d…

      • hey have you been able to get it working with australian gas bottles? what do you think of it?

        • +1

I did with that adapter - and its glorious :)
Finally I can enjoy stir fry bok choi and fried rice the way they meant to be enjoyed.

          • @Solario31: that's awesome! i can smell the wok hei from here

  • How does the auscrown ones compare? I'm in the market for one

    • not sure about Auscrown, but I can comment on this one and it's amazing. If you look at Kenji's video, you can see that the higher BTU doesn't mean better stir fry. It's all in the shape/layout of the burner.
