    So this works on Windows and Linux, but not on Mac, right?

    The page clearly doesn't list Mac, but I just wonder what's the diff if the C:S ecosystem generally plays on Macs.

    Edit: I've just noticed that the linked website is not Steam and only pretends to be Steam. There's a separate page for Macs: https://www.macgamestore.com/product/7285/Cities-Skylines-Ma…, same deal.

      doesn't make a difference, just gives you a steam key

      I used MacGameStore for a deal of CIV5, and worked pretty well on my windows device (I've never even owned a mac),
      if the game is compatible with your OS on steam, then use whichever you want
