  • As an S20 Ultra owner - honestly I would recommend getting the S20+ instead. The Ultra is so ridiculously bulky and heavy for really not that big of a benefit.

May be not for Note 20 … difference in ultra and normal are huge, eg. 60hz to 120hz, glass to plastic… and so on

      • Oooops…. that teaches me to skim read then comment :D

  • Normally there is a $50 voucher if sign up the newsletter

I signed up to this and tried 5 emails and none of them ever got the code. They sure as heck sent me marketing emails regardless though :(

      • After getting sick of waiting for the email, I got on the chat to them and they generated the code for me.

        • Ahh nice! Which chat did you hop into? I could only find their tech support one who said they couldn't do anything for me

          • @FrugalFrella: When logged in, it comes up with a little 'Chat Now' box at bottom right of the screen. When you click that, you can select 'Products and Promotions', enter your details and it should start the chat for you.

  • Is the general consensus still 'meh' from note10 owners?

Been waiting for iphone 12 but do miss the s-pen functionality i had with my note4.

    • I would have considered upgrading my Note 9 if we would have the Snapdragon version here in Australia.

I might even consider taking my Note 9 to Samsung to replace the battery later next year if the Note 30 doesn't come with better battery performance.

      • rumor was that Samsung would ditch Snapdragon completely and use Exynos exclusively for all market from next models….

        • Yeah, it's to avoid the ridiculous licencing fees and royalties that Qualcomm charges in their Snapdragon SoC's.

      • Never understood why Samsung insisted on this drama of the two processors especially since there's such a huge difference….

        • Cost cutting. Was very unhappy with my note 9 when compared to my friends Snapdragon variant. Slower to load apps , ran hotter and worse performance on games. Not sure how Samsung is getting away with doing this

Maybe worth it if your coming from a Note8 or 9. Camera and refresh rate are better for the day to day use. All the other features similar.

      • Coming from iphone 7plus so anything in flagship Territory is an upgrade atm

    • Note 10+ owner here. The upgrade is only pen writing, faster screen refresh rate and faster processing speed. Not worth the premium unless you have cash to burn.

      • I do love the pen aspect but i have to question how mich use id get out of it really on such a small screen…

    • Own a note 10 +

Although I really dig the camera and the design, I'm definitely waiting at least another 2 generations before an upgrade

      On a side note,

The +/ultra version is meant to feel like the beefed up version of the normal phone. But it feels like the +/ultra is just the normal phone and the normal version is a corner cutting edition :<

      • Dang

      • Yeah pretty much this, the "Note 20" is basically an inferior model designed to get people to opt for the "Note 20 Ultra"

        • Definitely, and it's not limited to samsung either

  • Discount only shows when you move to Checkout, not while in basket (initially). You can return from Checkout and the Buds' price will update.

Does anyone have problem signing in their company's epp. I am being directed towards samsung regular website once I enter my credentials on epp web page.

    • I had same issue, Samsung epp stopped working on Chrome.
Try Firefox or edge, it's working for me.

      • Thanks mate

My samsung journey: S3, S4, S5, Note 5, Note 8, Note 9, S10 5G, Note 10+. 2020 AU samsungs with no snapdragons have left me considering other brands :(

    • Those samsung phones you used before, most of them are using Exynos chips.

  • Can I go into a Samsung store and get this deal as well if I'm a student?

    • No tried it done that

    • you can get the deal from samsung education store, using your school email.

As a current owner of a Samsung S20+ I would have to agree that the battery is worse with the current Exynos chip. I still feel that my former phone the S8 has better battery life even after 3 years.

However it is still manageable to get through an entire day with a mixture of calls, light gaming and general screen time (YouTube, Internet, etc).

I could continually complain about Exynos but I decided to upgrade this year because it will take about 2 to 3 years before Exynos with their AMD partnership to release a new chipset to even become comparable to Snapdragon.

The performance ( increased ~30%) and battery performance (increased ~20%) is well documented (with Snapdragon VS Eyxnos).

With the Galaxy Fold 2 (soon to be released) it will come with the latest Snapdragon chip for all markets. So it's pretty damming that they know their own chips are under performing.

But overall I'm happy with my purchase and while I haven't had the described issues (ie. Excessive heat and slowdowns when playing games) it may put off people who use their devices for intensive gaming sessions.

For an everyday phone it's fine in my opinion.

  • Is there anyone buying this phone and is willing to purchase the buds live for me who is located in Sydney?
