The Legend of Zelda: A Complete Development History by Ishaan Sahdev

For those interested in the development history of one of Nintendo’s most prominent franchise, The Legend of Zelda. I came across this on the Zelda Wiki.

Foreword:
This free eBook is meant to serve as the most complete, insightful, and historically accurate account of how the Legend of Zelda series began, the changes it went through over the years, and why those changes were made. It highlights how market conditions and the minds at Nintendo influenced the development of each Zelda game, both from a creative and business standpoint.

This dissertation took 4 years to research and is based on hundreds of developer interviews and behind-the-scenes materials, as well as a sound understanding of the games industry. An online Wiki version can be found at the following link, complete with detailed citations for just about everything:

    Someone’s Google drive… seems dodgy…

    • Whats dodgy?

      • When you download this book, the last of your bitcoin will end up in Ishaan's anonymous account

    • It's not a Nintendo official book, it's something that somebody made themselves. I just took a quick look and it looks pretty good actually.

Hosted on Google drive, but you can find the online version at https://zelda.gamepedia.com/Development_of_The_Legend_of_Zel…

    • The link to Google Drive is only if you download the PDF version of the book. If you’re not keen to do that then just stick to the online version in the wiki.

I assume versions below 1.4 did not have “complete” in the title.

“The Legend of Zelda - An Incomplete Development History” didn’t test as well
