Grabbed the LG UN7300 43" and had it delivered within two days. Was tossing up between the Samsung/LG and pretty much whichever was cheapest was going to win.

How do these Hisense series 8 tv's compare to the bigger brands: LG, Sony, Samsung?
Hisense’s OS is in my opinion, absolutely terrible. The screens themselves are ok though.
What about TCL? What brand do you think has good OS?

ikr, i so should have got that 1638 hisense q8 65", its been 1 month and they have not restocked. the current best deal is tcl c715 at $1270 but its so worh spending extra to get the hisense q8

Input lag on most TV's is far greater than that of PC monitors.

I pulled the trigger and got the LG for a monitor. It seems like the poor input lag is a thing of the past for many models now. I just got sick of monitors all being matte anti-glare now, preferring glossy screens in environments with controlled lighting.

The Hisense ones aren't on there. The deal has ended now anyway, but it's very frustrating that you can't find any of this info anywhere for the Australian models.

Yes, I messaged them on ebay asking when more stock will be available and was advised there's no stock.
A short while later a new listing was up which I managed to grab. I'm guessing they source new stock and put up a new listing when they're ready to sell.
Got the 43" UN7300 for a PC monitor as I mentioned above, and incredibly impressed with it. Input lag is very comfortable, and the screen looks really nice. Moved from a 34" ultrawide that didn't look nearly as nice, and was hurting my eyes using it everyday (think the curve didn't play nice with my brain).
Glossy > matte screens; the monitor market has really fallen short on this one!

Love the size and has virtually no bezel.Out of the box the picture settings are terrible (and that's me trying to be positive about it).
Spent a fair bit of time calibrating the picture with the xbox and then did the same for TV with the thx tune up app (grab the app from your favourite app store and cast it to the tv).
Very happy so far.
Now to get some more 4k content
