  Agreed. I cancelled my platinum charge after 4 years of holding it because of the lack of usability of the travel perks. Surely others are doing the same - in which case, why throw more travel perks at the problem?

I have the Hertz & Avis offers with my Amex but struggle to see why I should use them when Budget and Thrifty work out significantly cheaper for the same exaxt car. Can someone please explain?
