  • Is this one Mac-only?

    • +1

Yes one cable solution for mac-only

      • Not only Mac, my HP has a Thunderbolt 3 port…

        • +1

true, but the product description states it only works for mac. I don't have a pc with TB3 to test though.

  • How is it mac only?

    • Compatible with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) enabled Mac running Mac OS Sierra or later. Please note that the Thunderbolt 3 Express Dock HD is not PC compatible.

      from the product page.

      • I know but what I'm asking is why wouldn't it work with a PC with thunderbolt 3?

        • My only guess is driver support like any other os platform specific hardware products

        • +1

I imagine it probably does work with PC's that support Thunderbolt 3 to the level that Apple Macbook's do; especially given that Thunderbolt 3 is just an enhancement over USB-C and is a technology developed by Intel not Apple.

My guess is that USB-C ports are generally a confusing mess, and Belkin has decided to rid itself of all of that by saying Mac-only.

    Good find OP.
I have 2 of these purchased from eBay US about 1 year ago.
These work well but hard to scale if you want to connect more than 2 monitors.

    • yeah been eyeing for one to cleanup my desk setup. Atm, I only have one 4K monitor to drive this (thought it supports up to two 4Ks)

  • Just wait for USB4 which has most TB4 features and significantly cheaper.

  • Good price, but some of the reviews from B&H is pretty average

I got one of these recently (via work thankfully) and recommend it. Been using with my MacBook Pro and LG 4K monitor and works really well. I had some Targus one before that had to use display link which was a resource hog so glad to have this instead
