This seems like possibly the least safe way of driving at night, short of putting on a blindfold and having a go.

"No officer, I didn't see the pedestrian I just mowed down as I was looking at my 8.2" night vision screen instead of out the front windscreen…"

In fact, I don't even think this thing would be legal in most states.

I was intrigued so bought one last November for A$440. Kind of theoretically does what they say with headlights on, but grainy when they're off. Has enough problems that make it unusable. Quite big, so blocks a lot of windscreen space. I couldn't mount it anywhere near where I could easily see it. Hard to mount and shakes if you use the ball mount as it's a crappy design.

The only use for it might be for the police, for a non driver to see things a bit better in the dark.

If you want this tech buy a Mercedes.
