The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim + Map + Poster Pre Order $78 (PS3/360) @ Harvey Norman

70

Pre order Elder Scrolls V Skyrim from Harvey Norman for $78 PS3/360. Includes a bonus map and poster. Currently the cheapest local price for the game according to Gamecafe, and dont post a comment about Ozgameshop or Zavii being cheaper, because I like a fair few others dont want to wait 2 weeks to get this game and will pay extra to get it on the day.

PC version $69 from Dick Smith here: http://dicksmith.com.au/product/YG1063/pc-elder-scrolls-v-sk…

PC version is cheaper here (available locally) for $59 with cloth map and 2 paperback novels.

And if you don't mind waiting 10 days from release day for a UK version (no map), you can get it for AUD$43.

    • $43 seems like a pretty good deal and I don't mind waiting a bit. But are there any possible issues with using a UK version here?

I've never had any issues with 10 or so Steamworks games I've bought from the UK.

"and dont post a comment about Ozgameshop or Zavii being cheaper"
… isn't the point here to find things where they're cheaper?

    • Yeah, it's OzBargain, not OzAlmostABargainKindOf.

Maybe the OP has shares in HN?

The point was that Ozgameshop, Zavii etc are overseas so don't comment about them being cheaper because to some people it's about getting the game cheapest at launch rather than saving $10 by waiting 2 weeks.

      • rather than saving $10 by waiting 2 weeks.

Cheapest on release date is DSE @ $69, assuming you walk into a DSE store and pick up a copy.

Waiting two weeks (UK) will save you $26.
Waiting 1 week (scorptec.com.au) will save you $10 AND get you two free paperback Skyrim novels (as shown here).

But you have to wait, that's the point. Apples and oranges. For some people saving $26 is worth the wait, for some that extra dollars is worth picking it up on the day on release.

Ok. But I think phluffed is out of line with:

so don't comment about them being cheaper

I think we should at least let people know of cheaper options.

  • Pre-order from Harvey Norman if you want to be stuffed around. Some stores are okay but from what I've heard and experienced myself, it's a very bad system they have. I pre-ordered Uncharted 3 from them. On the release date the store I pre-ordered from received TWO copies. I still haven't had a call from them to inform me my copy arrived. I ended up buying it elsewhere.
