a computer Byte can store one out of 256 different values

    fixed that for ya

    • +1

Actually, can represent one of 256 values. Storage requires memory.

(Can also represent multiple smaller values).

      • +1

a byte is a unit of storage

        • A byte is a (particularly sized) unit of information.

A byte of memory is a (particularly sized) unit of storage.

Bytes can be instantiated, stored, transmitted, manipulated, disposed of, etc.

    • Technically, a byte isn't always eight bits, so even the 256 part isn't always correct.

IMHO, browsing the website, the other paid bundles are better than the free offer, but a deal is a deal!

  • Mystery steam game keys for 2.85, what are they?

  • I've not paid a cent to become a developer.

  • Isn't 8 bits 255 possible values? 9 bits (1 with eight zeros) is 256.

I suppose if you consider zero a "value" you get to 256.

  • no ones care programmer day or not (im programmer), just get the free books.
