Galax GeForce GTX 1650 Super EX (1-Click OC) 4GB Graphics Card $209 Shipped @ PC Byte

460

A popular card last night. Price includes shipping so possibly $2 cheaper than the Shopping Express deal depending on where you were getting it shipped to.

Ports: DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0b, DVI-D

One of the cheapest cards available with the "Turing" (20XX) revision of NVENC, giving a big performance boot to encoding work such as Adobe Premiere.

Good performance in games, roughly equivalent to an RX 580. The RX 580 has more RAM, which is important for some games/resolutions but less important for others.

Thanks to Matmubuggy for mentioning it in the comments of the now sold-out Shopping Express deal.

Getting cheaper and cheaper waiting to get a 2060 to replace my 1060 3GB and put the 1060 onto HTPC for casual emulator gaming.

    • Its better getting an used 2070/Super or similar rather than a new 2060.

    • you mean 3060?

      • I don't mind 2060 if the price down to $200 XD

  • This or the GTX 1660 for $300?

      This!

    • The Super is better than the standard 1660

The GTX 1660 (non-super) and the GTX 1650 Super have very similar performance. With a $90 price difference I think the GTX 1650 Super is a much better choice.

The next meaningful step up from here is probably the GTX 1660 Super or the RX 5500 XT

I agree with all above. Just a mention to those who wil be playing flight sim games, i have the 1650 and 4gb of vram is not enough even at 1080p. I max out all my vram on DCS so those who may do some light gaming on MSFS2020 i would recommend you look at cards with more vram. (580 would be the equivalent with more vram)

I'm also wondering if I should return the one I bought from shopping express and buy it from pcbyte cause there's an actual store where I can go for warranty?

    • +1

Those aren't grounds for returning a product.

      • +1

Well they haven't even shipped it yet

        • So it won't affect shopping express, and why did I get 2 negative votes?

        • +6

You said "if I should return the one I bought" implying you have received it.

  • Aaargh !!

Bought it for $26 more in the recent PARTY21 eBay 'grand sale'. It was delivered just yesterday. :'-(

Will keeping the RX 580 8Gb will be better in the long term considering more vram than the 1650 Super beside the lower power requirements on the 1650S?

I'll be keeping this on my son's computer so I don't or better word won't upgrade it very often.

    • +2

Yes as 8gb vram will be more future proof at the same performance. The 1650S is much more efficient though in power usage. (almost half)

      • Cheers mate
