Excellent country to source overseas food, alongside South Korea and Japan. They have a very high level of integrity.

      • All old incidents more than 6 years ago. Since then food safety has been greatly improved. Plus there's food issue in every country..*cough…tainted frozen berries in Coles.

In general every country has brands with high integrity as well as brands with poor integrity. It's sad that alot of times the brands that get imported are done so with brands or batches that are 'discounted'…for a reason.

Just as alot of on-sale items in Coles and Woolies are on sale for a reason.

  • I find this rice not good as the 2 below for the 10kg variants

Japanese Style Sushi rice which can be found for $18-21 from a local Chinese Grocer

Koshihikari is a bit pricier but its a good choice about $22-26 from a local Chinese Grocer

    • Anyone seen 10kg Sunrise sushi for sale? never seen them in coles/woolworths

      • I am in Sydney and it is available in Tong Li and other Chinese grocer around me. They sell the 5, 10 and 20kg variants

      • Because of the drought last yet, Sunrice Koshihikari (Japanese) rice sold in 10kg & 20kg is not locally grown - it’s imported from Uruguay. You might find some old bags of locally grown so check “product of …״.
