Aldi swing arm TV bracket any good?

Never needed a bracket before, my 55'' TV fits the entertainment unit. The 75'' I'm about to get won't.

Aldi has a Large Swing Arm TV Bracket on special for $59.99 starting Saturday, see here.

Anyone got experience with these from when they had them previously (looks very similar to the one they had in March)?

From the description:
Fits most 32"-65" TVs
Max. load: 60kg

Am I safe to assume that it should work just as well for a 75'' TV, as long as the weight is below the limit and the Vesa pattern matches?

Any reason something like the Crest from Bunnings here for 3 times the price would be better?

  • I don't think I'd trust it for a 75" TV.

    • Even if the TV weighs ~35kg, just over half the rated limit? You've got one of the ALDI brackets yourself?

No, I don't have one of those ALDI brackets myself, I was just offering my opinion. Personally I would not scrimp on the bracket for a 75" TV.

Yes as long as the weight is under its limits and the vesa mounting matches up it will be fine. My 5 years selling TVs as JB I never had a problem as most of the product packaging is like this and people have the misconception thinking they need to spend more money !
