  • any deals on the XXL digital verson?

    • I’ve been waiting for one for a while now

    • Last good XXL digital version was around Christmas last year i believe.

  • 800g quite small, right?

    • Ya too small for sure.

      • I have the woolies Mistral 3.5l Air Fryer $49 quite happy with it.

Is 800g smaller than 3.5L? So confusing.

        • would also like to know…

the ww mistral one is great… we use it all the time!

        • 800g =0.8 L
The extra large one is 1.x L so 3.5L is huge

          • +2

            @scozbargain: 800g does not equal 0.8L

800 grams refer to the weight capacity of the basket and not how much volume the basket is.

2 different ways different brands market the capacity of their product.

there is a bread making accessory basket for this product and it is 1.3 liters. so I'd say the air fry basket is a little bigger than 1.3 liters,

i think you'll need to ask Philips what the volume would be in order to directly compare to other brands to see how small or big it really is.

        • I bought the 3.2l Kmart one, it's very small compare to the Phillips 1.4kg, like half as much cooking surface area. Good for couples, too small for families with kids.

      • That's what she said.

  • Well I've got a pressure cooker and a rice cooker so think the next logical small appliance I don't really need is probably an Airfryer.

Too small for a family of 5?

    • Trust me it’s so convenient to have an air fryer . For example I can just wack some fries into it and in less than 10 mins I have a quick snack .

Where as the normal way is to wait to heat up the oven or heat up the oil and then the clean up after wards is more of a hassle than the air fryer .

That’s just one of many examples .

    • I use the air fryer more than the pressure / slow cooker. Quick, easy to clean and less oils in the food.

I was a big skeptic until my wife bought one a few weeks ago. We use it every 2-3 days

  • The only thing I don't like about the philips is the noise. They are noisy, almost comparable to microwave oven.

    • You should buy a set of noise cancellation headphones.

    • Don't believe this is the XXL. XXL model is HD9650/93 or HD9651/91.
