Best Dashcam $350 Budget

Hi, Would like some recommendations for a dashcam. Have never has one previously and haven't had any experience using one. Would prefer one with wifi and smart phone connectivity. Thanks

Would definitely get the Viofo A129 Duo. Records back and front, has WIFI connectivity.

This. Just make sure you also buy the $20 hardwire kit if you need it; not included in the box.

You can of course just use the included USB cable with your car's 12V outlet (cigarette port), but then you have visible wires.

For around $420 I purchased and had it installed at my place.

    • I have the same, except being little bigger in size, I have no complains.

  • Recently purchased a Viofo A129 Duo for ~$200. Easy installation and set up but the accompanying Viofo pairing App isn't the best. Happy with my purchase. If you're willing to spend a bit more then the Viofo A129 Pro or Blackvue DR900S will do well too.

    • Just note that the A129 is only one channel (meaning it can only record just either the front or the back)

Don't you mean the A119? A129 duo is dual channel and definitely records both front and rear.

        • My bad, I misread ahah

  • Amazon Aus have plenty of options, I use a Apeman C550 that records front and back. Installation with the back webcam took about 15-20 mins. Though it doesn't have smartphone connectivity/wifi. Got it for about $120.

My folks have the Rexing V1P Pro Dual, it is about $250-299 or if you want to spend less they have the Rexing V1P for $185 ish. Both have wifi connectivity and app support with front and rear cameras.

  • Is it usual to have the dash cam on only when driving? Or do people have it recording when parked too? Or does that drain the car battery? I've had a couple of incidents with people scratching my car when it was parked, and wish I had a dash cam that was recording when the car was off.
