Now that the Apple event has happened and the new watches unveiled, I was expecting a slew of clearance on older stock.
However, I’m not seeing much in this regard. DJ has a couple series 4 on sale but honestly it’s nothing out of the ordinary.
Apple doesn’t even pay Cashback on these new devices. As an avid bargainer, I’m struggling to convince myself to get them full price!
Have you seen any good prices for new or old models?
Series 5 has been OOS at apple for weeks.
They run the stock out before they launch a new one
A series five would have to be the price of a new SE or less to be worth it. Basically the same thing, although the S5 has an AOD so at equivalent price or less I would go the S5.
Although the S4 and S5 have many features the SE lacks
The SE does not have the ECG Reader, The O2 Monitor and a slower processor than the S5
In Australia you don’t have the ECG reader on any Apple Watch.

In the Apple event they stated Apple Watch SE gets S5 Processor, same as Apple Watch S5. SE is basically a S5 with less features.
According to this article the only thing Apple Watch SE misses out on is:
- Always on Display
- ECG
- 2nd Gen Optical Heart rate sensor
- Blood Oxygen App.
And SE gets the Always on Altimeter of S6.
JB were doing like 50$ discounts the other week. Not huge discounts, but it's Apple, what do you expect?
"Apple" and "cheap" generally don't go together in the same sentence.
Not sure if you've been living under a rock but most Apple gear retains it's value
