The single 16GB Sticks are also $79 and can purchase 2 of these to get free shipping (32gb for $158 Delivered).

    • Not a bad price, gonna think twice selling my 2x16gb 2400mhz versions at what on eBay 🤕

    • Good spot picked up 2

  • Looking at the RAM on their site, what's the differences between the different model names? Ripjaws, Aegis, Flare X, Vengeance, etc.

    • g.skill lineup goes Aegis -> Ripjaws -> Flare X but there's a high and low spec in each so make sure you check the spec.

Corsair lineup goes junk -> junk -> junk -> pay too much for rgb

Intel you want 2666 and the lowest first word time. Intel with Z motherboard you want 3200 and lowest first word time.
AMD you want 3600 and lowest first word time.

The calculation is simple but input the spec here https://notkyon.moe/ram-latency.htm to find the first word time.

      • Hey thanks so much for the advice. I have a Dell 8940 with 2 x 8GB of 2933MHz Ram. It's probably an Intel board. Maybe the Intel 3200MHz would be best? Thanks.

The upper limit will be 2933 on that system assuming it's an i7 or i9. You can put 3200 in it but it will clock down to 2933. If it's an i3 or i5 it will clock down to 2666.

  • is RAM expected to get much cheaper any time soon?
