Need Some Thoughts on Artist EDK924M Electronic Drum Kit please

Hi team, found this while hunting for a reasonably affordable mesh-headed electronic drum kit, would love to know if anyone out there has nabbed one and if they're into it:

Seems like bloody good value compared to the closest competitors.

I'm glad you don't live in Melbourne - another neighbour practicing drums while we're all locked down is not what we need right now :-)

      it's electric drums mate

  • Hey mate, did you end up getting this? I'm looking at the same one!

Yeah I did actually. Really good value kit overall! The controller is a bit limited, but the pads are responsive and comfy.

The factory had the wrong power supply in with the kit, customer service was tops and sorted me out as quickly as they could during the pandemic. Very good value if you're starting up.

      • Awesome, really appreciate it. You find the responsiveness/accuracy of everything quite good, then, and minimal crosstalk / false triggering? How about the hi-hat pedal?

I'd exclusively be doing USB -> MIDI into my DAW where I've got Superior Drummer 3 and GetGood Drums. So if anything, a mediocre controller bringing the price down is great value for me. Have you tried the USB/MIDI yet?

I've had an Alesis DM10 in the past, and converted it to mesh myself, but it always had issues and eventually got rid of it.. Not keen to spend over $1K again, so I think this looks like the best option.

        Thanks again, mate!
