Error Fare: $222 Return from Brisbane to Vanuatu on Virgin Australia in Feb @ MyHolidays

101

Just stumbled across this while looking for some Air Vanuatu deals, and found Virgin Australia is currently bookable for dates in 2021 from $222.66 RETURN to Vanuatu. Other vendors seem to have it at over $500 so it certainly appears to be in error.

Warning: All error fares at your risk. Sometimes airlines will honour them, sometimes not. Read all the terms carefully. You might just end up with credit. And with covid, who knows what the borders will do.

Sample date in evidence - Feb 6 to Feb 13, 2021.

    Yeah, but it's to Vanuatu.

I don't see anything suggesting they will open their border anytime soon…

Maybe they'll open up for the airfare? :D

      • Just like Tassie did for the Hobart flights Beatthatflight were pushing a couple of months ago, lol, and so on and so on…

Indeed. Like I said, covid. But it is in a few months. And Vanuatu hasn't had a single covid case. I suspect if they were ok to open, Queensland might be too. But we can only speculate :/

      • So the fares are fully refundable if they/we don't open the borders?

        • -1

Like I said, read all the terms carefully (it's via MyHolidays). International travel is going to be very hard to pick through for the next few months/years….

  • Even bigger risk for me to book is that I Stay in VIC …

    • +1

Gamble away! We in Vic will be lucky just to get to other states by then let alone go overseas freely.

      • Yep … Even if it's an interstate flight on deal for Feb 2021, wouldn't take chance of booking. Anything can happen in VIC.

I understood virgin is chopping all international except trans Tasman. This is probably old stock. In my opinion, not even worth trying and then all that effort to recover your money.

I believe VA is focusing on domestic market for awhile. So yeah, This is probably an old listing. Too risky. You'll end up with flight credits which you're limited on how you get to spend.

Nightmare fuel to get any refunds from myholidays so be warned, will take upwards for 4 months (if your eligble, and they took a 30% fee from my covid cancellation)
