  • well, this beats the price even on the Personal 3D Eyewear. Sony HMZ-T1.

    • nice

    • Yeah, that visor thing has a virtual viewing size of a 40" screen from 1 meter away, and the thing is $800 or so.
Very expensive & I'm pretty sure it's been more expensive than an actual TV since it was announced.

  • Extra $20 off if you subscribe to their newsletter(?)

    • +2

No they have broken it down in 3 vouchers ( 2x $5 and 1x $10 Voucher)

edit: And cannot be stacked on each other

      • At least it's another $10 off.

  • Is this a good deal??? I have a LCD tv but this seems like it's to good to be true.

  • yeah cheaper by $50 compared to myer deal… but $42.90 kills the deal when there distributor charges $30 for each delivery.

  • PS51D550 $799 with Free Shipping Most Areas was from big brown fox.

    So ~ $60 cheaper

  • +1

Its $60 delivery to the gold coast .
    Still a good deal though.

  • If you want it quick and live in melbourne near chadstone, you should be able to get it at the good guys at $788 with no effort at all, was quoted that price last time i was there., its a little more but your picking it up at your local store

  • It's not clear if this comes with a pair of 3D glasses.

    • one (1) pair included. About $40 per extra pair.

  • +2

Yes it does come with 3D glasses

I am waiting until Christmas and hope this TV will be about $600 then I will buy

    • +1

Thanks. I'm sold on this. It's dramatic how quickly the price is falling. Although I've placed on order now, I hope you get it cheaper by Xmas.

  • +1

This is a good deal. Got mine at Myer a few weeks ago at $799, but had to pick it up myself. For those thinking about picking this up, bear in mind it needs to be transported vertically. ie. you will need about 80cm clearance in your car/van/4WD. So, $750 delivered is pretty good.

    • how many 3d glasses comes with it?

      • 1 glasses in the box

  • whats quality like? I havent seen a plasma for many years, use to 50-100hz LCDs.

    • Better than led IMO, not as vibrant as the ones you see on myers (they leave their lcds on torch mode all day). Even at 60hz, they are still ahead in the refresh department compared to 200hz lcd's.

Hz is irrelevant. You need to find out how fast the pixels can go from grey to grey, so you dont see ghosting on fast moving images.

  • Had a look at one of these in Myer yesterday. Nice looking unit and picture, however, very highly reflective screen. Could see myself in the screen almost as if it was a mirror.

  • Almost gone apparently

  • the screen is very reflective. and it gets pretty hot. apart from that, the picture quality is spot on. I wouldn't use it in a room light source opposite the TV.

  • Wait till Xmas if you can :D

  • Works out a few dollars cheaper if you're in WA buying it right now from Big Brown Box.

  • is top buy trustworthy? is it owned by any bigger company?

    • yes, have been buying low and high value items from them for years :) recommended.

  • It says SOLD OUT.

    • not surprised given the pricepoint. hopefully even better deals closer to xmas.

  • big brown box dont seem to have stock in WA…

  • sold out.

  • Actually, I order one form topbuy last night. Yesterday, I printed the website and asked for price competition in the city. Dick smith and Myer rejected and JB from west-field as well. Then I went to JB of world square, they accepted, the final price is 699.95 +42.9 and you need to wait until next Tuesday. So anyone who still want the TV, go to JB and ask for a deal!

    • If so why didn't you buy from JB world square since they price matched? Why still buy from topbuy? Delivery from topbuy will take 3-8 business days.

      • maybe he doesn't have transport and jb charge more than 42.90 for delivery? maybe he wanted the tobpuy points? who knows im glad he's done the legwork for somone :)

        • I get it now. I was mistaken to think that JB matched the offer dollar for dollar. Looks like JB wanted $742.85 for the TV plus additional charge for delivery if required.

        • Yes, I think I can got money back from moneybackco. And parking in the city made me madness. Moreover, JB need to transfer from other stores which need several days. Topbuy is a trustful company anyway. They called me today and seems nice. Hope to receive it soon.

  • Sold out I think. Shame was ready to pull trigger at that price.

  • Anybody got their's delivered yet? :)

  • I havnt even had my status changed still sitting at : Prepare Docs

    and i havnt gotten the 350 points…
