Ofcourse, plus the usual woolies stuff - use giftcards, get 10% extra off once every month upto $50 for shopping at woolies.

For 5G, the plans start from $53 pm (Min cost $1213) - credit @janoski here

Hope this helps some of us.

As per the CIS, no early termination charge however you would need to pay off the remaining handset payments.

I don't know if they will also make you pay the discount as well.

lol @ Woolies offering the 5G handset, when "Woolworths Mobile does not offer the 5G network and there are no specific timings yet as the rollout is only in its early stages. Rest assured we will keep you updated as rollout progresses.".

    • Telstra sell the 5g on a 4g plan also. It's good to just be able to get the snapdragon.

      • true…

  • +3

isnt the feature list wrong the 5G variant is Snapdragon not Exynos

  • If you do get the S20 FE from wherever, definitely go for the 5G even if you aren't on a 5G network as it has the better Snapdragon processor compared to the 4G which has the Exynos processor which isn't as good, apparently.

  • This or the pixel 5?

    • +12

…not Pixel. Used to be Nexus/Pixel fan. These days are just overprices mid-range phones

But no Sammy bloat…. Wonder how long they will run this deal

        • +1

Sammy bloat = valued features that pixel will get in a few years anyway.

          • @onlinepred: You neg based on the lack of upto date operating systems and a vendor forcing you to use their own software which is already part of the base operating system.

Apart from camera arrays and software to drive it they could easily just use the native system for everything else.

            • @janoski: What are you even talking about? I neg because there is no bloat, you could consider pre installed Facebook as bloat, but if you have any technical ability you can just disable the installer. Samsungs now get 3 years of updates, usually 1-2 weeks behind on security patches, 2-4 months behind on OS releases. I mean with Pixels you are forced to run Pixel software ontop of AOSP. Really unsure as to what you are getting at.

              • @onlinepred: Perhaps they've drastically changed things in the last 12 months, but the S10 is definitely full of bloat. Samsung push their own app store, their own voice assistant, their own NFC payments app, etc. Sure you don't have to use them, but you also can't get rid of them. Samsung are terrible for bloatware on phones.

                • @macrocephalic: Yes, I use samsung pay over Google pay, I use bixby and google assistant as they are for different things, s10 is not full of bloat LOL.

Anyway clearly you are trolling or perhaps technically challenged?

Pixel 5 is a midranger pixel, even past flagship pixels haven't been great, and generally more expensive.

      • Yes but for the price of a Pixel 5 in Australia (expected around $1000), you can get SD855 or even some SD865 (not plus model) with better specs and performance. Im going to be looking at last years phones now instead of Pixel 5 given the price its expected to sell for here.

  • I am seeing $53 from the link

    • That is for the 5G variant. 4G is cheaper.

      • Oh… Didn't read it correctly then, thought it was the 5g at that price

        • Apologies guys - yes - $49 is for the 4G version. $53 for the 5G. I will update the deal post.

  • 50% off EPP again, market will be flooded with these handsets

    • +3

      50% off… since when?

      • Corporate discount in Samsung Plus membership.

      • nm.. came across it on another post… telco/staff EPP

  • I see Woolworths uses Telstra. Would that be the Telstra wholesale network or the retail (like Boost)?
Woolworths offer 2 year or 3 year contracts. The 4G phone on the 3 year contract for the 'small' plan is $54 pm. If 2 years, $66 pm.

    • wow @ 3yr contracts…

I am negging this beacuase Im still waiting on sims from Woolies 4-6 weeks ago. Spent 30 mins on phone today, they advised wait one more week…WTF

    • +1

Not sure thats a reason to neg a specific deal though?

      • It's the first example in the guidelines

        Issue with retailer (For example:)
Previous purchases were not received or the shipping time exceeded what was expected

        • Fair enough

    • are you in vic?

  • Does anyone know if you can port to JB's Telstra from woolworths mobile?

Guy at JB said that as long as they aren't owned by Telstra ala Boost/Belong they would accept it as a port

  • +2

the mobile plans are for 36 or 24 months. the plans are rather average by current standard. in 12 months time, very inadequately outdated. (mainly data allowance)

  • 3 year plans to get the cheaper rates? Very long time to be locked in.
